I helped a lady jump-start her SUPER dead battery in a parking lot and it worked but damaged my old smart cable (I think it got too hot). That jumper was still fine but the cables were dead and I was disappointed that I could no longer use it. Not anymore! This was a drop-in replacement for my dead cable and is much more robust than the original with a bonus that it still fits in the original case! I’m so glad my jumper isn’t wasted from a bad cable and I doubt this will have the same failure as the last one.

The contacts on both sides of the alligator connector are connected to power. This Is an improvement over the other jump pack cables I have where only one side is connected. (I have Included pictures of my other cables for comparison) I also appreciate manual the override button. If it did not have the manual override I would not have bought it.

Lost my cables for a battery jump starter and needed replacement. Nice quality, thick wires, a little longer than the original one and works great. Like the side button control vs just the battery on and off. Great value, recommend

The portable battery jump starters out today are a life saver for jumping dead cars, but the jumper cables short out easily. If the person trying to start the car tries to start it too many times, too quickly, the capacitors get fried in the cables. Then you have an $80 battery that makes a great doorstop, but no way to jump start your car. This is what happened to the original cables that came with my starter.
This unit came to the rescue and worked perfectly with my MMQ PD60W jump starter. It looks like a pretty generic design, so I’m sure it will work with others. It fit like a glove, indicated it was working and I can jump a car again. I didn’t have to spend another $80 to replace the whole starter.

I ordered this Cakur replacement smart cable for my jump pack. The original one for my jump pack died and the display no longer works, so I can’t tell if it is or isn’t working. The new Cakur one is a little more basic just having a led instead of an LCD screen. It blinks red/green alternating when you connect it to the jump pack, and it then turns green once the battery is charged up enough to try starting it.
My jump pack is 16vdc, and when the cables are plugged in, it reads 16v at the clamps. This makes me a little hesitant to try the reverse polarity safety feature as it looks like it’s already putting out power. When connected to the car battery, it clicks on and off. When measuring voltage at the battery, it was reading a little over 15vdc, then when it clicked, the voltage was at 12.99v. It must sense that the battery is full and turn off the output power.
It didn’t come with any instructions other than the sticker on the unit, which is basic at best, but it’s enough if you’re on the side of the road and have to use it. The 8awg cables are thicker than the ones that came with my jump pack and they are a little tiny bit longer too, so the thicker wire and extra length are appreciated. The clamps seem to be well built and have a strong clamping force. The wire is jumped to both sides of the clamp so even with a not so great connection, it can still deliver power to the battery.
There is a very small recessed button on the side but with no instructions, I can only guess that it’s for the “force start” feature mentioned in the description. My old one had a button as well, and the instructions for that other unit said it was for a really dead battery.
So far this seems to be working, but time will tell and I’ll play with it more in the event that I get a dead battery.
I’m giving this 4 stars because it didn’t come with any instructions.

Did the job and I like how the connection let you know it’s a solid connection

These replacement smart Jumper cables work great. I got these as insurance–smart cables can die, from overheat, capacitors overheating, reversing polarity, overload by charging a completely dead battery, etc. Where I go in the wilderness, you need a reliable jump starter in case your battery gets drawn down. And it is not rare that the smart cables might get burned out. Having a back-up set is a relief against that–I’m bringing them with me as a safety backup. I plugged these into my jump starter, which flashes red and green alternatively when plugged into the battery box, and then turns solid green once hooked onto the battery posts. The truck engine started on the second turn of the crank, even though it’s been bitter cold at night and at freezing with snow covering the hood, in daytime. The cables are worth every penny–a jump box is no good without them. Five stars and peace of mind.

I have a Jstar mini car booster that has saved me on many occasions, but then the wires broke, rendering the entire device useless. Thankfully, this replacement piece fits perfectly and works great! The battery pack had no issues, so I just needed these wires and clamps to connect to it, and once again I can boost my car battery when needed.
The only downside is that this one doesn’t have a digital readout like my original one did, so it doesn’t tell me the battery voltage when I connect it to the terminals. But it still jumps my car just fine!
