    Look , I am a moron and this took me 45 minutes to install. 10 of those minutes were me looking for a socket I dropped in the engine bay. Put the elbow on the inter cooler first, then put the pipe in place. If I can do this , you can do this.

    I was worried about installing this since it is in two pieces. However, I think I lucked out with everything going together perfectly. Attaching the two pipes wasn’t extremely easy, but it wasn’t remotely hard. I was pleasantly surprised with the ease in which it installed.

    Be careful and pay attention to how you’re positioning the clamps. That’s the one issue I have with a two piece kit, but that’s not specific to Sinister.

    ***1) YOU MUST HAVE 11MM DEEP SOCKET PLUS RATCHET EXTENSION BEFORE YOU START. There are several pics and the correct 11mm socket should be 4in long not 2in and still need the extension, and can be bought on Amazon.com. the 4 in socket is CTAtools.com number 1711 is the right socket to bottom out the clamp springs.
    2) BOTTOM HOSE GOES ON FIRST, THEN THE BLUE PIPE. THEN CLAMP IT ALL UP.
    3) ORIENT THE VERY BOTTOM CLAMP NUT VERTICALLY UP FOR THE EXTENSION TO REACH
    4) ORIENT THE MIDDLE CLAM ABOUT 90 DEGREE OUT TO THE RIGHT (LEFT SIDE OF THE TRUCK) TO REACH IT BETWEEN BATTERY AND W S WIPER FLUID CAP. SEE PIC. IF YOU DO THAT THE CLAMPS ARE EASY, ANYTHING ELSE WONT WORK.
    5) I THINK THAT THERE ARE VARIANCES IN EACH MODEL YEAR ENGINE COMPARTMENTS IN THAT THERE IS NOT ENOUGH ROOM FOR YOUR HANDS IN SOME CASES, WHERE OTHER YEARS YOU MIGHT GET THE WHOLE PRE-ASSEMBLED PIPE DOWN IN THERE – I TRIED THREE TIMES BUT THERE WAS SIMPLY NOT ENOUGH ROOM TO GET YOUR HANDS AROUND IT AND INSTALL IT PRE-ASSEMBLED, SO I HAD TO DO IT IN TWO PIECES.
    6) REMOVING THE SENSOR WAS A TRICK 1/4 TURN LEFT, BUT SNAPPED OFF THE RETAINER CLIP, BUT IT DIDN’T MATTER ON THE INSTALL THE SINISTER BLUE PIPE WORKS ON FRICTION AND DOESN’T USE THE CLIP.

    ***SINISTER FEEDBACK: YOU GET A FOUR FOR TWO REASONS: THIS WAS NOT AS EASY AS PORTRAYED. BECAUSE YOU DID NOT SAY IN THE INSTRUCTIONS TELLING EVERYONE UP FRONT IN THE INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT NEEDING 11MM SOCKET + EXTENSION SET WHICH WOULD HAVE SAVED ME TWO HOURS OF EFFORT AND HAVING TO RUN OUT AT THE LAST MINUTE AND FIND THESE ITEMS; AFTER I TOOK IT ALL APART – THAT WOULD BE USEFUL. AND LANGUAGE AROUND AROUND ORIENTATION FOR THAT EXTENSION WOULD BE HELPFUL; AND YOU ALSO STATE 1 HOUR JOB ON THE FRONT OF THE INSTRUCTION AND THIS JOB TOOK ME 3 HOURS. YES YOUR POWDER COATED BLUE PAINT IS PRETTY – BUT YOU SPENT A WHOLE PAGE ON DISCLAIMER AND NOTHING ON THE TOOLS NEEDED, REVISE THE INSTRUCTIONS. AND FOR THE RECORD YOU COULD HAVE HELPED BY TELLING US EXACTLY HOW TO REMOVE THE SENSOR WITHOUT BREAKING IT. I CALLED YOU TELEPHONE NUMBER AND GOT AN ANSWERING MACHINE.

    Not that easy as the boot is a very tight fit and no room for my large hands to fit to push the boot on. The pipe is designed well just don’t be fooled that’s it’s going to be a breeze to install. Be VERY careful with the air flow sensor as the locking tap can break when removing. Had to purchase a new one 🤪. It looks a amazing on my truck and now I can tow my camper with faith that I won’t have to worry about this pipe bursting. My intercooler pipe was just a rubber hose and felt spongy. Now no worries.

    The media could not be loaded.

    Product was as described. It is American made. It was not difficult to remove the existing Ford tube and then to put on the new! Took me a total of 42 minutes. And it runs like a champ! When putting on the new cold side pipe…start low and work to the top of the engine. Good luck!

    I just spent over two hours in 115+ degree heat in my garage trying to install the sinister diesel cold pipe replacement on my 2017 Ford F250. It doesn’t fit. The clamp for the intercooler side is too small and won’t allow the silicon boot to connect. When I did get a clamp that works, there’s not enough flex to connect the blue metal pipe to the silicon boot and the engine side. I had to reinstall the factory part.

    To top it all off, the blue pipe was bent at the intercooler boot connection side. It looked like it would still fit. That’s likely a problem with shipping. It’s nearly impossible to take apart and after 5 unsuccessful attempts, I returned worthless, overpriced piece of garbage back to Amazon.

    I gave it one star in my Amazon rating. That’s only because I can’t rate it zero. I won’t be buying anything else from the overpriced and useless inventory at Sinister Diesel.
