The tank was perfectly fine. After installation, the log splitter would run for 3 minutes then die. This happened several times. After the last time, I pulled gas cap and heard a sssssshhhhh would. Dawned on me that cap was not vented. Loosely screwed cap on and it runs perfectly. Will buy a new cap…,

Tank construction fit and finish looked good. Easy installation, no problems. The cap is another story. After carefully looking looked it over, I couldn’t find a vent, so I replaced it with old one.

Still in the process of replacing starter cord but this seems like it will easily work on test fit.
