I used this product on sun faded vinyl patio chair inserts. The finish is a refreshing revitalization of my worn looking seating, thereby extending the life of those chairs.

We were a little skeptical about spraying this on a couple of damaged seats on our 2014 Searay 220 Sundeck. It’s been a month now since we did the painting and so far it’s amazing. Color is perfect and the paint blended perfectly. Very easy to use. Highly recommend!

This paint matched the vinyl on our 2003 Sea Ray perfectly. Would recommend for anyone looking to paint over old stains on the vinyl.

I had some small tears (1/4″ scrapes) and a large 6×3 bird bomb or other caustic discoloration and destruction on my boat cockpit seats. I cleaned and sanded the areas down to the fabric, used the SEM vinyl prep spray, then hit it with about half a dozen thin coats of the color vinyl spray to build it back up, along with some feathering/blending to the surrounding areas. You absolutely cannot tell it has been fixed. Very very impressed. Note I tried the 3M vinyl/leather repair kit first; don’t waste your time with that one; go straight to this. 30 minutes and done!
I’ve attached a pic of the post-fix bird bomb area that discolored and ate right down to thb fabric backing. Ignore the shadow from my poor photog skills (it’s just a shadow). Dead center pic is the repaired area.

We used this paint as a trial to repaint the vinyl seats on our boat.
Covered beautifully. Very happy with the results. Will buy more to finish all of them.

I followed the specific instructions given in the reviews by Christian Hilken. I used all the products he suggested and had amazing results. (It takes ALL the steps to work). Degreaser and sanding block, vinyl prep spray, vinyl coat, and protectant. THANK YOU, Thank You! I had sun damage possibly connected to a previous product I used. I was very distraught and embarrassed at the condition of my boat seats. Elbow grease and good products. It looks amazing. (I used less than 1 can of the paint for the entire boat, due to the detailed prep!)

It covers well and my boat seats are definitely white and the old stains are gone!. The problem I am having is that it actually seems to attract dirt and that dirt is hard to wipe off. I was wondering if there is a sealant or something to put on the painted seats to make a shiny finish that the dirt will not attract to and wipe off. I really like the improvement the paint has made to my boat but I can not keep them clean!!!! I have to wipe them so much and scrub to get the daily dirt off that I have had to re-do them. HELP any suggestions?

This stuff is amazing. I don’t see many detailed posts about this product. And I haven’t seen many full length videos of anyone using it to restore an entire boat front to back. I am currently about halfway done redoing every inch of vinyl in my 30 year old 18 footer. It looks BRAND NEW. and better yet, it feels BRAND NEW. But you can’t just spray it on and expect it to work. It’s a long process, so don’t start it unless you’re ready to dedicate some time.. at least a week to redoing every seat in your boat. Here are the exact steps I took; follow these and you will have flawless results:
1) Clean seats using a de-greaser of your choice. Grey scotchbrite pads work good here.
2) Clean area to be redone with SEM SOAP – this is a blue soap made by SEM that helps bring additional dirt/debris to the surface. (you can use another grey scotchbrite pad here),
3) Wipe surface with clean damp towel until soap residue is gone.
4) It’s time to tape. This is the longest part of the process, Also the most tedious. Make sure to tape off the area you’re painting down with blue painter’s tape to the nanometer. There is no margin of error here, so take your time. You will be rewarded later.
5) Once your target area is taped off, you will spray it with SEM VINYL PREP. This is a very toxic spray, so use a mask when applying this. Wipe area down with a damp cloth, removing all vinyl prep spray from surface. (PRO TIP – this is a solvent. Its purpose is to make the vinyl slightly tacky to better adhere to the vinyl spray. So it will slightly dissolve some of the glue holding the painter’s tape down if you over spray it too much.So go light, and focus your spraying only on the area you are going to paint.)
6) Now the fun part! Apply your vinyl coat spray! Use several very light coats. I found 4-6 coats works best. If you are spraying on a vertical surface, be careful not to overspray as drips can occur. Wait 10 mins between coats.
7) After achieving the desired coverage, peel off painter’s tape. You’ll notice the seats have a brand new look, but they are still not done.
8) The downfall of spray vinyl is that it leaves a coarse/porous texture, with a dull finish, just waiting to suck up dirt and algae…. This can be easily remedied. Sand the entire area with 3000 grit sandpaper. This stuff is so fine that it will NOT scratch the seat. It creates a smooth, bright finish & feels exactly like brand new vinyl.
9) The last step to ensure a long lasting shine is to spray each seat with 303 UV protectant spray for vinyl. This will add an extra layer of protection from UV rays & algae, and gives the seats a brand new soft vinyl feeling ( and even a new boat smell) haha.
GOOD LUCK, BE PATIENT, AND I HOPE THIS HELPS. THE FINISHED PRODUCT IS WORTH THE TIME!!!

This stuff is AWESOME. I completely redid the interior of my 1991 Sea Ray with it and the difference is night and day. It’s not going to cover full-on tears or cracks, but if your seats are just dingy and worn, this will make them look like brand new. You definitely need a lot of it for a full interior (we have an 18′ bowrider), but the cost is MUCH better than a full reupholster job.
Make sure you do it in a well-ventilated area, and I wore a respirator. Give yourself the time to do this slowly with multiple thin coats. Also, don’t do it if it’s windy/breezy as it will kick up small particles of dirt and you’ll have a heck of a time getting it to look right.
Also, don’t touch or wipe the wet finish. It won’t dry properly and again, you’ll have a hard time covering it and making it look right again.
Overall really great product.

I got 12 can of mystic white and 6 can of gray to repaint my boat’s seats. with 3-4 layers of the white coat, I could tell the color was already the same as the color promised on the can while it would take 7-8 thick layer of other sprays to do the same, the gray would give its final color after the second spray which is great! among 18 cans one had a defect and they offered a quick shipment for free or a refund! its a little bit more expensive but it worths the price 100%
