Location of Camshaft position sensor on X5 N55 engine is hard to reach. DIY Replacing the existing Camshafts was so challenging but these Products made my DAY ! Car starts now 🙂

Kept on getting a check engine light and going into limp mode First time using my generic OBD scanner yielded code P0340 (camshaft position sensor A circuit Bank 1 or single sensor) message. Tried to start later and took quite a few cranks before starting afterwards.
Based on someone else’s review who said this sensor worked on his BMW N54 engine, I took a chance with this aftermarket sensor. It now works beautifully and after I erased the engine light, the engine light no longer comes on after I started, restarted about 8 times the engine. It also starts quickly and I also tried it about an hour on the road with wonderful acceleration.
I can’t comment on the durability of this sensor, but I’ll put another review if it fails prematurely later.

Everyone! Don’t let the price fool you I replaced my BMW 335i N54 camshaft sensors with these as a test and they worked great zero issues, so maybe as backups to get you out of a jam, or run with them as long as you can.
