The oil ring will not fit. It fits in the bore just fine until it’s mounted on the piston then the oil ring is held out too big ti fit in the bore.
This item will not work.

The product was exactly as stated and does fit a 1986 mustang gt HOWEVER by my mistake the 86 model comes with 2 different piston ring sizes so the only reason I returned was due to the difference there. But the rings were of great quality. Still give 5 stars and fast shipping

I finally got around to putting these rings to use only to find out that the oil rings are too big for the shallow groove on my stock pistons. I have a SBC 350 out of a 1994 Silverado. They may fit for aftermarket or Pre 1987 stock but I’m not sure. Either way, I guess I’m stuck with them since the deadline has passed to return them 😭. I’m conclusion, they look decent but not what I needed.

You can tell these are nicely machined standard rings. Pleasantly surprised that every ring gap was consistent on standard 4″ bore on 350 SBC. Didn’t need to file then at all.
