Need to run brake lines? Look no further. Easy to bend by hand and takes flares (ISO bubble and SAE double) easily even working in tight spots under your vehicle. Won’t rust and don’t bust. Yeah, it’s a little pricer than steel Bundy-Flex but save yourself some grief especially if you need to fit up a long line under the vehicle.

This is the best brake line made, easy to work with and flare!!

  3. I. Z

Easy to flare. Easy to bend by hand. Had to route the line while bending here and there by hand due to impossible to reach original rusted brake line. Could not do it without this.

This is the first time I had to replace a brake line. This stuff really does bend easily so you need to be careful not to handle it too roughly before getting your connectors in place. I tried to double-flare it and although it looked like it was OK there’s still a very tiny leak that I can’t seem to tighten my way out of. I actually think there’s no real need to double-flare this stuff and will try a single flare to fix the leak. I wouldn’t ever think of using anything else the next time I do a brake line. Very good stuff for the first timer. No tubing bend tools used or needed.

I purchased the brake line tubing and what a beautiful product to work with. Everything from cutting to shaping is SUPER easy. With the OE steel tubing, bending was a nightmare and tubing benders and straighteners were not too much help. This material is very formable. The ONLY tool I really use to shape it is called a tubing straightener. Its basically a pair of pliers with flat stock welded on the ends. The flat stock has a machined groove that secures the pipe and the end is radius cut allowing you to make some slight bends. Any super tight bends I would advise using a tubing bender… but that has very limited use. Most of the work can be done with the tubing straightener.

I picked up some larger fuel tubing as well. Like I said, this stuff is fantastic quality.

This stuff is great! I saw a lot of good reviews from hot rodders online. I re-plumbed my 72 Cutlass with this and it came out great!

    This brake tubing is amazing.
Very very easy to work with. Forms ~1.875″ diameter coils without kinks, forms by hand easily, flares dead easy. SO worth the money vs steel brake line. Has all the strength you need & won’t rust. AWESOME. I’ll never buy a steel brake line again.

Given that this DOT approved tubing is 90% copper and 10% nickel, it is relatively easy to bend. Its flexibility means that you can snake this tubing through tight and inaccessible places on your vehicle like pulling Romex in your house. You can easily hand bend larger radius, gentle bends around objects but if you are making tighter bends on the order 3″ radius or less, I recommend a bending tool or use some type of mandrel to prevent kinking or collapsing the tube for smaller radius bends. Forming the double-flare is easy to do even when I used the el cheapo flaring tool kit I bought at the China Freight store. To do all the lines on my 2002 Suburban 1500, I needed two 25′ rolls of this 1/4″ and about 8′ of the 3/16″ to do the rear axle. The best part is, everyone claims this stuff won’t corrode like the OEM lines. We’ll see. As a copper-nickel alloy, that makes it similar to such alloys as Monel making it corrosion resistant, but I would not leave it unprotected in direct contact with steel alloys as galvanic corrosion will occur when dissimilar metals are bathed in an electrolyte solution (road salt and water). On the Suburban, all the clips that hold the tubing on the frame rails and such are plastic, so I do not anticipate any trouble with my installation.
