Was hoping for better grip, won’t fall off because of the strong magnet but the phone easily spins when you take a corner.
Edit: just noticed that it works perfectly in combination with the sportsring which have a grippy surface.

I bought this magnetic mount for my semi truck and it works great. The instructions state to clean the vent you intend to clip this onto. They supply the alcohol wipes even. That is the trick to preventing it from sliding off the grill of the vent. I drive over the rough lot in which we park our big trucks at night (the company I drive for has never heard of “asphalt”) and it throws the trucks around. My cell phone hung in there pretty good. The magnet is STRONG! When removing the phone from the mount the manufacturer recommends using a rolling motion to remove your cell phone when needed. Highly recommend

Works great the only drawback would be the magnet is to strong it pulls out of the vent quite often but won’t let go of the phone at all.

I have used this for a year. Good is that it grabs my F-150 vent good. Over all it is well made and sturdy. Marginal is the strength of the magnet. My LG-K8 falls off on light bumps. I am taking it off to use a stronger unit. Interesting the stronger unit is ~ 1/3 the cost.
