The metal used is so flimsy, once I bent it, it did not have enough strength to put a noticeable increase in pressure on the window. I put these on an International 9400i skyrise class 8 tractor. The window has very little curve on it, and I was using the expensive one piece design wipers. The curve in the wipers though is so strong that I just needed a little more pressure from the wiper arm on the passenger side windshield. I bent them to a point that I felt would provide more pressure, but the metal is just not strong enough to be effective. I went back with the cheap, 4 point, $6 wipers, and it solved the problem. My hope was that this product would work as advertised, because the one piece curved wipers are so much stronger that in snow and ice they keep the snow pushed off the windshield. It’s a good idea, and those I bought in the 80’s were so much stronger than this, so they were very effective. I’d rather pay more and get a well made product.

The material it is made of a mild steel that is not hardened at all so that when you attach it to your wiper arms it just bends like a normal piece of wire and just stays bent. There is no bounce back of the metal like a spring would. It delivers no value at all.

When you have those big truck wipers and you just don’t quite have enough pressure on them to get them to wipe right these things come to the rescue and they work good

This product works much better than the squat, squared off springs on Amazon that are supposed to do the same thing. The extra length gives better leverage. I got this and the smaller ones to try out on my fiancée’s car, and this product performed much better. If you’re worried sick about spring pressure (or the lack thereof) causing vision issues in the rain, check these out. I would absolutely get them again to keep myself or my family safe.
