I was hoping they would be more maliable but when spreading to put on terminal they snapped and broke. Now I know these will not fit the larger terminal euro batteries like the 48 and 49 series batteries

The title pretty much says it all. The stud and wingnut convert a top post battery to a marine style setup for easy connection of 12V devices.

Never used but look and feel solid and good idea for battery owners with out threaded posts.

You get a pair of wing nut terminals – one marked and sized for the positive terminal and another for the negative. The hole for the battery top post is different for each polarity, as is the stud diameter (a bolt and wingnut.) The bolts fit hex recesses in the terminal itself. They are NOT fused to the terminals as shown in the picture and can be changed out if necessary. Grease ‘em to prevent corrosion.
Positive stud is 3/8 which has a 5/8 bolt head size, and negative is 5/16 with a 9/16 bolt head size. The different diameters might make a difference if you have ring terminals. These have bolts and wing nuts which appear to be steel, not stainless (they are magnetic.) Terminals are silver, if this is chrome plating it’s an industrial plate.
I would not use these in a salt water environment, but for fresh water or industrial use (which is my application) they will work fine. A fraction of the cost of bronze or copper terminals, but know what you are getting.

I used these to upgrade the battery cables on my truck. They are working great. I drilled out the negative mounting bolt, to use a 3/8 bolt. Also tossed the hardware for quality (SS) regular nuts, and bolts, to “future proof”. I’d do this with most battery terminals. Over all, I’m happy with these, would buy again.

FYI, these follow the standard where one stud/wingnut is larger than the other. so they are not reversible.
And the polarity is stamped into the metal so you don’t accidentally reverse them, very nice!
