Package arrived quickly. Material appears to be high quality. Fit perfectly!

Seems like a quality piece. Only time will tell, so if I don’t have to tear my engine apart again anytime soon, I shall be happy. Super kudos for RKX making such a specific piece, really saving a lot of people a lot of money. Price seems rather reasonable given it’s such a finite product that nobody in the “mass market” makes. Do yourself a favor and watch the DIY for your specific vehicle. Will take out a lot of guess work. Not a overly hard job, just tedious and time consuming. Anytime you open your motor like this, make sure to be in a clean environment with no blowing debris or anything. Good luck fellow DIY’ers.

Had my AOS diaphragm go out a couple of months ago and my Cayenne began to run very rough. After the computer compensated for the changes it ran ok but had a lot of hesitation when you would step on the gas. Fuel mileage also began to suffer. Rather than go with the Porsche fix of $500 and replace the whole valve cover, I found a DYI write-up online and ordered this kit. It fits perfectly and is of a much better quality than the original. After installation my Cayenne runs great, there is no hesitation and the mileage bounced right back!

    Part worked perfectly

  5. Saved me almost $2k

Ok guys so i bought a 2008 .:R 32 from a dealership with 100k miles on it for a great price, i put 3000 miles on my car without issue, all of a sudden on the highway i get off the exit ramp and my car starts to idle rough and make a crazy whistling sound almost like a tea kettle, some research online pointed out it would be the oil separator within my valve cover, and Volkswagen DOESN’T sell it desperately. So with that said i bring it to my mechanic and he was unsure as far as to what could be wrong a few things came up as possibilities such as the valve cover needing to be replaced, the rear main seal etc. so he advised me to take it to Volkswagen to be diagnosed thoroughly, and 180$ later for ONE HOUR OF LABOR they told me it was the oil separator and that it would cost me 1865.45 PLUS TAX almost 2200$….. Never in my life would i pay that so i asked the .:R 32 Community and they recommended this kit, 450$ later for labor through a different mechanic and this kit plus one Gallon of G13 coolant later (coolant must be drained while doing this job) my car is running PERFECTLY WITHOUT ISSUE thank you RKX for having this kit available most definitely a life saver

I installed this on my 2007 passat wagon with 3.6 L and AWD. Tip off was surging idle and noticeable air coming from test hole on backside of valve cover near throttle body. This is a big job! Requires removal of front end of vehicle to pull off intake manifold and fuel rail, not for faint of heart but doable. Scour the internet and you tube for video and instructions. Check for additional vacuum leaks, I found three. Replace everything you can afford like alternator pully, accessory belt and all related pullys, water pump and thermostat. It is easy with the front off, not so much otherwise. Car runs perfect. All together cost $300, rather than 2k+ at dealer. Remember that Porsche Cayenne and VW Tourag use same motor when searching.

My 2008 R32 started to idle real rough and made a strange squeeling sound after it ran a few minutes. It was almost unberable. I took it to a shop and a ruptured vacuum line was replaced but the problems persisted. I was told I needed a new valve cover and it would be over 1000 dollars parts and labor. After I did some research I discovered this diaphragm was the issue and I could order it here on Amazon insanely cheap. This thing worked perfectly. The car has never ran so well since I bought it several years back. I highly recommend it if the OEM one has become torn. You do not have to buy a new valve cover!

  8. Saved me almost $2k

2012 Passat SE 3.6l Had a huge tear in my diaphragm and my car was idling up to 2000rpm at red lights and while parked. Was causing my car to guzzle gas to the point that when I fixed it for the first couple days I thought my needle was broken because it didn’t seem to be moving lol. I paid VW $195 to diagnose it and they quoted me a $1500 fix so this $30 part saved me an almost $2k repair bill. Very satisfied!

  9. Trey TheHardWay

Not the easiest to install but that is VW’s fault. A little pricy for a little rubber diaphragm. That said it works great and arrived early. Overall very satisfied.

  10. BawlOut93

PCV valve busted, and engine running rough and idle was inconsistent. Oil in the air intake.
Ordered this item, came in fast. perfect fit for this model. The job was surprisingly easy to do, even with as much disassembly as it involved.
My 2012 passat PCV is right on top of engine. this you have to take off the manifold and get in there. But it was easy, and these gaskets were good thick rubber. My car runs like the beast it is again.
