- The lockout delete fit for the Borg Warner & Tremec T-56 (Regular and Magnum) and TR-6060 transmission.
- Wiring a locking solenoid for reverse on a T-56 can be a frustrating process. Most often, the builder removes the lockout solenoid or does not wire the solenoid, which requires the driver to “muscle” the lockout into reverse.
- Barely shifting the shifter into reverse can cause damage to the transmission, while removing the lockout is likely to accidentally shift into reverse while driving.
- The T-56 and TR-6060 reverse solenoid deleteers are designed as a safer alternative to completely deleting or “forcing” through the solenoid.
- The deleteer provides the proper resistance to reduce the risk of accidentally shifting into reverse without risking a “forced” shift.
- The solenoid delete contains an M8x1.25×30 SHCS, a softer spring (necessary for short shiters and some relocation cases), and the O-ring required for installation.
- The delete unit is not a locking device and will not completely prevent the driver from entering reverse. As with any modification, care should be taken to understand the limitations and expectations of the above modifications prior to installation.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to.

I installed this product on a Mopar TR6060 being used in a Gen 3 Hemi swap into a ‘69 Dodge Coronet. It was exactly what I needed to replace the electronic solenoid. Replaced the spring that comes pre installed with the less stiff spring. Used lithium grease on the O ring to make sure it slid in nice. Impressed with this product.

Works as designed and easy to install.

The T56 is a great transmission for a resto-mod, but the reverse lockout solenoid can be a pain. the kit works perfectly, they even include 2 different spring tensions to tailor the operation to your liking.
This is a 5-minute swap, with one bolt to remove. The only downside with the kit is that they do not include silicone grease for the O-ring. I had a tube from another job so it worked out fine. the fit and finish on the part are excellent, it’s a well-machined part with good tolerances to prevent leakage.
Easy swap and now I can shift into reverse without having to wire up the solenoid to a switch.
I highly recommend this part for anyone retrofitting a T56 into your vehicle.

Slipped right on, no issues. Spring could of been better, I ended up removing it due to too much resistance.

Got this for my T56 so I wouldn’t have another wire to run to my existing lockout solenoid. Works great! Difficult to shift into reverse accidentally.
I like how it comes with another spring in case the resistance isn’t exactly what you’re looking for.

Provides just enough resistance to know that you’re asking for reverse without accidentally finding yourself here instead of 6th gear. A must have for retrofitting a TR6060 transmission.
