This is an interesting coating, mostly due to it being solvent free.
If you have ever applied a ceramic coating, the instructions generally call for you to wait until you see that rainbow/oil on water effect before buffing the paint. That effect is caused by the solvents used as the carrier liquid for the actual ceramic coating flashing off. That is also why you should also wear gloves (and a respirator) when applying a ceramic or graphene coating, you don’t want your skin to absorb those solvents or inhale the fumes and enter your bloodstream. Can’t possibly be good for you.
This product uses no solvents, so it should be safer to apply. In fact, there are no health warnings associated with the application of this product.
This couldn’t be easier to apply. Clean the surfaces thoroughly, spray the product onto the included microfiber applicator, wipe the coating onto the surfaces being sure to completely coat the surfaces. Wait 15-20 minutes and buff off with the included microfiber towel. That will result in a nice, natural looking matte finish. You can sit on it as soon as it dries, fully “cures” in 48 hours.
This product will provide an extra layer of protection to your leather. It will make the surface hydrophobic, reduce friction when sliding in and out of the seat, and make your seats stain and dye transfer resistant all while adding UV protection. The manufacturer indicated the coating should last a year. A second layer will afford extra protection.
My GF is chemically sensitive, so this seemed like a natural choice to use on her leather seats. The treated leather feels softer, slicker and is very natural looking.
So far, I’m quite pleased with this coating. It’s safer to use, easy to apply and results in a nice, protected finish for your leather. If we get a full year of protection, this might very well become my leather coating of choice. In the event of early failure, I’ll update this review.

I’m really happy with the Geist Repel coating. It’s easy to apply and provides excellent protection against dye transfer, scuffing, and dryness. The solvent-free formula is safe for my leather surfaces and doesn’t leave any slippery residue. It’s also durable and lasts a long time, making cleaning much easier. Overall, it’s a great product for maintaining the look and feel of my leather.

I first tried to a leather photo album that had a pretty artisan raw finish, and to my surprise it didn’t really alter the color and look, still looks natural but now I just feel it’s better protected from oil from fingers and whatnot. I feel confident now to try this on some shoes and bags as well. I had wanted a breathable solution for leather shoes as that is half of the reason I prefer leather, so this is a fantastic find!!

I used this on a leather chair which had started getting dirty where my head rested against it and there had already been some dye transfer. It seems to have stabilized the surface so that it’s not getting any worse. Time will tell if it’s a good long-term solution.

Used this on a couple nubuck accessories in my wardrobe and it went on really nicely. Dried well too. Seems to protect my items.

Ich habe das Produkt „Geist. Repel“ nun mehrfach auf meinen Ledersitzen im Auto angewendet und bin mehr als zufrieden! Es ist unglaublich, wie einfach die Anwendung ist – eine einzige Schicht reicht völlig aus, um einen langanhaltenden Schutz zu gewährleisten. Besonders begeistert mich die langanhaltende Wirkung, die deutlich über den Schutz von herkömmlichen Keramikbeschichtungen hinausgeht. Laut Beschreibung sollte der Schutz mindestens 12 Monate anhalten – und ich kann bereits jetzt bestätigen, dass die Lederoberflächen wie neu aussehen und keinerlei Abnutzungserscheinungen zeigen.
Was mir besonders gefällt, ist die Resistenz gegen typische Verfärbungen. Jeansfärbung, Schmutz oder sogar Flecken von Stiften und Gummireifen – alles lässt sich mit einem feuchten Tuch einfach abwischen, ohne dass das Leder beschädigt wird. Besonders in meiner Familie mit kleinen Kindern ist der Schutz vor solchen Flecken ein echter Vorteil. Auch bei feuchten Bedingungen hat die Beschichtung ihre Wirkung nicht verloren, was sie deutlich von anderen Produkten unterscheidet, die bei Nässe oft versagen.
Die Oberfläche bleibt durch die Anwendung immer noch geschmeidig und die Optik des Leders verändert sich nicht – der ursprüngliche Griff und Look bleiben erhalten. Zudem fühlt man sich sicher, da das Produkt komplett lösemittelfrei ist und keine schädlichen Chemikalien enthält, was besonders bei der Anwendung im Innenraum des Autos beruhigend ist.
Die ergiebige Menge von 50 ml reicht aus, um das komplette Autointerieur zu behandeln, was das Produkt zu einer äußerst kosteneffizienten Wahl macht. Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden mit „Geist. Repel“ und kann es jedem empfehlen, der seine Leder- oder Kunstlederoberflächen langfristig schützen möchte. Es ist ein tolles Produkt, das hält, was es verspricht!

Ich habe das Geist Repel Mittel bestellt, um damit meine Kunstleder Sitze im Tesla Model 3 zu versiegeln. Diese habe ich zunächst gereinigt. Danach das Mittel mit dem beiliegenden Schwamm kreisförmig aufgetragen. Nach der Trocknungsphase von ca 20 Minuten habe ich die Reste mit dem beiliegen Tuch abgewischt. Die Sitze haben nun ein schönes mattes Finish und fühlen sich etwas glatter an.

Goes on fine…one bottle basically covers a complete 5 seater car. 2 bucket seats in the front and bench seat in back & also used it in the back of the front seats. Being entirely honest, it seems like it will protect the seats-I guess time will tell.

This coating was pretty easy to apply. It made the material water resistant and did protect it from color bleeding from other materials. Didn’t notice any particular changes in appearance on the seats I used it on. Pretty happy with the results so far.
