The struts installed easily as instructed. They work well. This brand is more expensive than alternatives. I picked it anyway because installation only requires removing one of the two hood hinge screws on both sides. This keeps one hinge screw in place with the benefit that the factory hood alignment is not disturbed. Most competitor designs require removing both hood hinge screws on each side and then realigning the hood as required.

This installation should have taken about 10min, instead it took me over an hour. The passenger side hood bracket dimensions were off and had to be hammered and bent to fit.

This item is very well engineered and the parts are strong and durable. The instructions (watch the available video first) are easy to follow and assembly is fairly easy. Once the struts were installed, the hood opened and closed perfectly. This will be so much better than the prop rod that came with the truck. I would buy again and recommend to other Maverick owners.

Hood bracket does not fit 2025 Ford Maverick Hybrid. Hole is off by about 1/4 inch.
