I needed a boot for a 12 VDC medium amperage application. The project employed 8 gauge wire and lugs. The factory hole (#10 – 3/16″ stud terminal cover) for the wire was far too small, but that was easily rectified with a razor blade. The cap covers the lug snugly (perfect for my application). The rubber is substantial, but adequately pliable. Ultimately there were exactly what was needed for my project.
