It took me more time to removed the plastic banding than to actually install the product. Fits perfect and it works good. Hopefully it holds up and we will find that out after a few days. Highly recommended.

We bought a used vehicle and the struts were not working to keep the back open. My 16 yr old daughter struggled to open it. I ordered these. They arrived quickly and were very easy to install. I did watch some videos on youtube so I had a basic understanding on how to install them.

They don’t come with instructions but it is simple to install. Make sure to have some one hold the lift gate open or use a ladder to keep lift gate open. Then you just use flat head screwdriver and remove retainer clips from old lift gate supports to detach them from top and bottom connectors. Pull out the old ones and attach new ones. Remove ladder and just like that you have new lift gate support arms installed.

10 minute install, works like new. Can’t speak to the longevity yet but the shocks are nice and sturdy and tight. Kind of need 3 hands to install, because you need to remove the old unit, pop on one ball joint, then compress then pop on the other ball joint. Helps to have a helper, but I managed to do it myself with a little wiggling. Only need some screwdrivers to install, nothing special.
