The part lasted a year and a half before it broke. There plastic gear inside broke and was falling around inside the lock. This part works, but did not have a good lifespan.
Jon-David Robbs –
it lasted 8 months before failure

Well, thought I had made a good purchase. Looked the same as OEM part but for a great price.
I was wrong, completely failed in 7 months and left my wife driving around with a rear door that flung open in traffic.
They should not be selling these as they can end in dangerous results.
DO NOT BUY.

I’ve replaced this part once already so it only took me about 20 minutes. There was a ‘triple square’ socket that came up on Amazon below this item. I saw a video of someone using it to remove and reinstall the 2 bolts holding the latch in. I ordered it. Well guess what? It didn’t arrive when I was ready to replace this thing so I just used a T40 like I did last time and it worked just fine. I think a T15 to pull the plastic panel down, T40 for the latch bolts and you’re good to go.
