The Rainpoint 2 zone WiFi water timer has truly transformed my plant and garden experience, making it easier and more efficient than ever before. In the past, watering my plants on the deck and garden from the same spigot was always a hassle. And when I was on vacation or traveling, I had to rely on my neighbors to water them for me. Rainpoint has solved those problems and more.
First and foremost, the setup was incredibly straightforward. The instructions were clear, and I had the timer and hub up and running in less than 10 minutes. The hub has excellent connectivity both from my internet to the hub and from the hub to the timer. This seamless WiFi connectivity to the timer allows me to control two individual watering schedules from anywhere using the intuitive app. This feature is a game-changer, especially when combined with the smart watering capability that adjusts the watering schedule based on real-time weather data, preventing overwatering—perfect for someone like me who travels frequently.
The two-zone functionality is fantastic. I can now manage my plants and garden independently, ensuring that each zone gets the precise amount of water it needs. Each zone is 100% independent from the other: it’s like having two water sources from one spigot. The app allows either a timed water delivery (e.g., 10 minutes) or a volume water delivery (e.g., 2 liters). Additionally, features include setting up seasonal adjustments (more water in warmer months, less in colder), charting water usage, every day, odd day, even day, and customized options, as well as start time settings. There are several manual modes that can be selected depending on the need. And yes, I can do all of this from my phone anywhere in the world.
The quality of the Rainpoint water timer looks durable and well-made, giving me confidence that it will last for years to come.

I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the RAINPOINT WiFi Water Timer. Its dual-zone feature allows me to set different watering schedules for my lawn and garden, which has been incredibly convenient. The device connects seamlessly to Wi-Fi, enabling me to control and monitor watering sessions remotely via the app which is a real game-changer for managing my yard’s needs while away. The weather-based smart watering system adjusts schedules based on local conditions, ensuring efficient water usage and healthier plants. Installation was straightforward, and the build quality feels better than other RainPoint timers I’m using. Overall, this timer has simplified my lawn care routine and provided peace of mind. This Wi-Fi watering timer and its app are dynamite! I have been a user of Rainpoint Smart Wireless Hose Faucet Timers (one zone) for several years. On my ½ acre lot, I have 14(!) timers watering on various schedules for different zones and plant types (see photo). It has been working just great, but managing all of those timers has been a challenge. All those schedules! I have made suggestions on the product to Rainpoint and I am excited to see that this new line of timers has taken the hint!
This two-zone Smart Hose Timer is a great improvement (see photo). Solidly built, waterproof battery compartment, big buttons, with brass faucet connector means no mechanical risks. The Wi-Fi hub is remote from the plug (thanks!) so you can set it on the windowsill for better Bluetooth range (see photo).
What the products do best is to support the new Rainpoint Home app. Define six watering plans (schedules) per zone! Select between the plans based upon the weather forecast or a paired soil sensor reading! Command ALL watering timers to suspend 24/48/72 hours rain delay with one button push! Watering plans can express durations in either time (as always) or water volume – the timer measures the water passing through!
Super-cool is the Seasonal Adjustment feature. For each of the 12 months, define a multiplier to the plans’ watering duration for that month (from cutting to 10% or doubling to 200%). Important where I live because May is wet and July and August are dry. Now I don’t have to manually adjust 14 separate schedules!
Yes, there are multiple watering modes (normal, interval, cycle & soak), setting up scenes to be triggered by remote conditions (soil conditions, weather, Google Assistant, Alexa), charts and graphs, etc. This is a major upgrade in tools for serious gardeners and lawn mavens alike!
I’m giving serious thought to ditching my 14 hose timers for the new world of smarter timers now coming out from Rainpoint!
