I ordered a complete front brake and rotor kit for my 2014 Acura MDX. I ordered the front R1 rotor kit in August 2020 and the rear R1 rotor kit in Sept 29. 2020. Today October 7, 2020, I installed the R1 rear rotor kit, went for a test drive of stop and go. The driver side front rotor broke in two pieces.
I am not asking for a refund, just a replacement. I believe they make good product.
I HOPE THIS IS JUST A ISOLATED CASE.

Fit great but not long lasting OEM lasted 6.5 yrs these lasted 1.5 yrs. Easy to replace which is lucky because you’ll get practice…

These warped quickly (within a few months) on our 2016 MDX using the supplied pads. I just went back to OEM disks and pads and the MDX brakes smoothly. Lesson learned.

The brake pads will fit for a 2014 MDX but the rotor is 1 inch smaller in diameter and the bolt pattern is different and will not fit. Just a FYI

I decided to take a chance on these brakes. The factory brakes frequently warp so I didn’t want to replace mine with factory. The cost and reputation of these seemed reasonable. Installation was identical to factory installation and I did them all myself, front and rear, as a “garage mechanic“. I am not a professional But I’ve worked on cars myself for years. I wanted to give these some time to see if I like to them. The appearance is very good and the manufacturing looks high-quality. The brakes are a little bit louder when applying them at highway speed‘s than the factory brakes, and they are a little bit louder when creeping from a stop. The stopping responsiveness is better than factory in my opinion. There has been no warping in the 5000 miles I have use them. Overall I am very happy with the quality, the price, the appearance and would not hesitate to buy these again. I am unsure if they will last as long as my original factory brakes.

I have 2014 MDX. I love the rotors but I am not happy about brake pads it came with as a package. It create too much brake dust to the point that my wheels looks black. Next time I need to buy separate pads. The original pads hardly gave any brake dust.

The set is cheap but not good quality. You get what you pay for. The pads are cheap and only last 3 months. The rotors also warped after 1 month. The company does not stand behind their product at all and just keeps having you jump through hoops but never really helping you.
