Replaced the original coil due to weak spark, hard starts. Boat now starts on 2nd crank !!

I bought this OEM ignition coil for a 1995 Mercruiser 4.3LX with 4bbl Weber Carb and it works fantastic. The only complaint is the nuts and washers to fasten down the + and – wires are not included. The aftermarket coils almost always come with fasteners and are 1/3 the price. I suppose Quicksilver saved themselves 5 cents for materials. At the price I was already charged, I would of rather paid another buck and save myself the hassle of a run to the hardware store and my friends at Quicksilver could of lavished themselves with an additional 95 cents! Cheap B^$*^&@$……….

Worked very well and resolved poor ignition at high RPM/top speed.

I bought two, two engines. So far no issues, right up on plane and 5,500 rpms which is about right for my 5.7L engines

High quality, solid unit. Install was great, no issues with loose studs. Get this one and remove the worry.
