An exact replacement for my 2008 Tahoe Q4 with the mercury 3.0. Boat was idling rough. Switched out distributor cap, spark plugs and wires. Runs like clockwork with the new parts.

  3. JR

I replaced my old cap and rotor with these and it made a HUGE difference in performance for my 1995 Bayliner with a 3.0L Mercruiser engine. The old cap and rotor were very old and had corrosion on them. My max RPMs was about 3,900 at full throttle before, now I can get to about 4,500 at full throttle. I was able to take the old parts off and replace in about 10 minutes. It would have been less time, but my old rotor was rusted on the distributor shaft, so I had to do a little convincing to get it off of the shaft(used a screw driver to carefully pry). 🙂

Quicksilver makes great replacement parts for Mer cruiser engines.

  5. Patrick Lopez

Make sure it is seated properly, and there isn’t any plastic remaining from mold before placing. But overall fit as expected

  6. Tech25

Well built, genuine replacement product was as expected. Engine runs smooth as it did when it was new and no more draining the battery when starting.

  7. Dan W.

Fit exactly on my bayliner 175 2013 . Mercruiser 3.0

    O.E.M. good stuff

See pictures. This is the old cap. Corroded terminals.
I had a low power problem with my 3.0 liter Mercruiser TKS at full throttle. It wouldn’t go over 3000 RPM. Carb rebuild, fuel filter, and new anti-siphon valve didn’t solve the problem. New spark plugs and a new distributor cap and rotor did solve the problem.

  10. Robert L. Pepin

Perfect fir on my Volvo Penta MerCruiser 3.0GS 4-cylinder. Take picture of Distributor Cap just in case and move Spark plug Wires to new cap one at a time make sure orientations is the same. You have to get old stuck rotor off with screwdriver just be careful and wiggle it off, I then used my lithium dremel with wire brush and clean rotor post, then hit it with Dremel again with sandpaper, then clean it, put a little Antiseize on rotor post and slowly wiggle new Roto on (it is a tight fit) and only used my hand and it pressed all the way down, then put on cap and your done.
