These were easy to install on our 2008 Avalon and the struts lift the hood so well. I might update in a few years as to the longevity, but at time of install, they are a perfect fit and function properly.

Easy to install. They don’t make my hood go up fast, but they do go up. And once they are up they hold strong.

I read the review about it being hard to install. So I messed up before I installed them I tried to open up metal clips before installing them. That messed them up. No need to pry them open. You just push it on. If no grease on the ball joint you press them on then you might want to add some. If they don’t push right on then you might want to then push in a small screwdriver into the back/under the metal clip but don’t do that without pushing it on because the metal clip will slide to the side and block the opening. 2005 Avalon worked great. Not sure how long they will last but look sturdy. At this price I can replace them several times before they add up to the price at the toyota parts store.
