- PULSE: Patented Pulse Technology increases the duty and life cycles of all 6V, 12V, AGM, Wet, Gel lead-acid and LiFeP04 batteries. PULSE technology is NOT “Pulse Charging” but high frequency conditioning pulse on one circuit and proprietary charging algorithms on another.
- DESULFATE: The unique application of patented PULSE conditioning provided by PulseTech increases the performance and life cycle of any size or type of 6V or 12V lead-acid battery; The patented pulse wave minimizes the size and buildup of damaging lead sulfate crystals
- CHARGE: Xtreme Charge evaluates the battery during initial connection and tests it continually to determine the appropriate charge rate based on your battery’s current capacity and condition. This TEST step also includes a “Bad Battery” indication if it determines the battery is faulty and cannot be re-charged
- MAINTENANCE: The XC450 is also designed to be a MAINTENANCE charger for any type of 6V/12V lead-acid or lithium battery. Through application of our proprietary charge algorithms and high frequency pulsing processes, your battery is maintained safely at its proper operating voltage indefinitely. If the charger is connected to a discharged battery, its BULK charge capability (4 amps) will recharge the battery rapidly and safely so it can be put back into service quickly
- Input Voltage: Auto Switching 100-240 Vac +/-10% | Max Charge Current: 4 Amps +/-10% | Battery Capacity: 7AH to 96AH | Power Cord Cable Length: 6 ft | Main Battery Cable Length: 6 ft | Lug/Clamp Cable Length: 2 ft | Fuse Protected Cables | Quick Disconnect at Battery. PLEASE NOTE: The XC450 Charger is not compatible with the PulseTech QuadLink.

So far, works as advertised.

A great charger with unique features. PulseTech is famous for their proprietary “pulsing” feature that desulfates and maintains battery health. Breaks down lead sulfate that builds up on battery plates, restoring the battery’s ability to fully charge, the same technology provided by this company for the US military. Works on both 6V and 12V batteries. Can charge standard, AGM, or lithium batteries. Easy to operate buttons and LED status indicators.
Comes with everything you need in the box, includes the removable battery ring leads plus the removable alligator clamps, also an easy to understand manual. Excellent warranty. A reputable American company that always stands behind its products and is relied upon even by the military.
Probably the only negative is that this 450 model does not work with the current version of Quad-Link (but the 400 model does), however it’s expected that the Quad-Link will be updated soon, although that’s still in development and not a guaranteed feature.

I use this on my EV’s 12V battery when we’re not going to drive it for a few weeks. It preserves the 12V, and pretty much eliminates “phantom drain“ from the main battery pack.

I believe it works as intended/engineered.

I have a Harley battery that I put this pulse charger on and it did not help at all. I was really wanting this product to work. Batteries are so expensive and this would have been great if it worked. I’m sorry to say that I cannot even verify that this product works as claimed.

The charger is helping to maintain my car battery well

I wanted to give this 5 stars as it does charge my agm and flooded batteries fast and efficiently. But, there’s 2 features missing that it desperately needs. 1st, temperature compensation. Even cheaper chargers offer this yet no pulse tech charger does. I can live with that. #2, if you lose power than this thing is useless making it not ideal at all for a vehicle in storage. The Xc400 does have that feature and it’s a big one. I use this when I’m around and can glance at it. Still great but #2 is a biggie. #1 is nice so you’re not cooking a battery in the heat, or undercharging in winter.
