Do not buy this filter the pickup tube is to short. Unfortunately I didn’t get around to changing this right away or I would have sent it back so I had to buy a oem filter and throw this 1 away.

Im sure the product is just fine so this is not a review of the filter, its a review of Amazons vehicle application algorithm or database or whatever it is. ………….DONT TRUST IT! I have my vehicle, a 2002 Ford Explorer XLT, 4.6 liter, 4WD in “my garage” here on amazon. I needed a tranny filter so looked them up. This filter came up so I clicked on it. At the top of the page there is a big green banner saying “This part IS compatible with your 2002 Explorer” But its not! The filter is the same but the pick up tube is HALF as long as on the one I took out……..it wont work. So, before you order parts for your car on amazon look up the part elsewhere on the internet and make sure it will fit before you order. This is the second time this has happened to me on AMAZON.
