had a stant cap , after only 1 year the top rubber seal must have shrunk and/or dry rotted and wasnt holding proper pressure. had this one only few months but working good so far. like others have said the blue silicone gaskets should hopefully hold up much longer…… i ordered a spare because they seem well made and should last at least 3 years or more.

This is a far superior product, it beats even a Stant brand cap. The cap it replaced would no longer seal with less than a year of use. This has silicone seals ( arrows) as opposed to rubber and a very, very tight fit. I am very pleased with this reasonably priced item. It appears to to be highly compatible with Japanese coolant/Pentosin.

Recently I had my 3 year old Denso radiator spring a fat leak. Being mid week, I needed a new radiator ASAP, so I had to shell out twice as much as the radiators go for on amazon. Of course, after I got the new radiator installed and bled the system, and my OEM Honda radiator cap wouldn’t fit the new radiator (AZ Part# B2148). It appears as though they changed the design of the cap boss on the plastic tanks of this radiator (presumably due to Auto Zone QC not giving a crap, or they just decided to change it because reasons…) Of course, the radiator cap it came with leaked, so I went on Amazon and found this cap.
This cap was a direct fit for the radiator I received from Auto Zone (which I believe is from Spectra).
I don’t now if it will fit OEM honda or denso radiators, I have not had a chance to check if it fits the old decrepit radiator (trying figure out where I purchased the Denso unit, fat chance I’ll find out hahaha).

I suspected that my original cap was not allowing coolant to be pulled back out of the reservoir on cool-down, resulting in a dropping level in the radiator. Since I got this cap I have checked and the coolant level is staying up in the radiator. It does seem to have a bi of resistance when tightening and I may smooth off the two hold down tanks on the cap. Not a big deal regardless. Hence the 4 stars.

I entered my info for my vehicle. They said this would fit my vehicle but when I tried to install it but didn’t fit. I’m rating it 3 because it said it would fit my vehicle. I Just noticed the box for vehicles it fits. I have 2007 lexus rx 350.

I was losing radiator fluid, albeit slowly and sometimes almost overheating. Old radiator may have been the OEM, on a 1996 Honda Accord wagon with 306k miles!
The new one I purchased here fit perfectly and works like a charm, no more leaking and no overheating.
Thanks, worth every penny!

This was simple, locate car, year, model, select the cap, when you have it install it, twist turn and installed, all good and ready for the road.
