- This acid-free wheel, tire, and brake cleaner is safe for all wheel types and finishes, including, steel, aluminum, chrome, paint, powder coat, and more. This cleaner is harsh on removing brake dust, iron, and road fallout, but easy on your rims.
- Restore your tires and wheels to a factory-fresh color. Just spray it on, let it clean, and agitate with a soft bristle brush on the face, barrel, tire, and brake parts to break up stubborn contaminants. Just spray with water afterward and clean with a microfiber towel.
- Can be used straight from the bottle or diluted in a foam sprayer. This product can be diluted in any foam sprayer to create a generous foram that easily lifts first, brake dust, and road contaminants from the wheel and tire.
- Leaves a protective coating that helps repel any future tarnishing, staging, or grime buildup. In addition, you can easily and safely apply wheel and tire sealants to extend the life of your clean and shiny wheels.

I was a little bit hesitant to use this stuff on gloss black wheels, given the experience of one other reviewer here and his matte finish. I tried a small spot and it seemed ok. So I went ahead and cleaned my wheels and tires and I have to say, this stuff is great, particularly for the tires. I clean my cars every week, from top to bottom, so I thought the effect of this stuff would be negligible. Thick black goo started sliding down my tires the second this stuff hit them. I couldn’t believe the amount of dirt that was coming off when I started scrubbing with a stiff tire brush. Its actually left a brown stain in the alley behind my house on its way to the drain hole. After a good clean and rinse the tires looked like new and the rims looked great.
I probably wont use this every time I clean my car, because I think it’s so good that three or four times a year will do.
Really good product.
*Update*
Used this on my other car with aftermarket AXE wheels. It started pulling off the clear coat. Luckily again I only tried a small section, and in fairness, the clear coat was just starting to flake in one or two areas before I used this product, so really it’s on me. I would only use this stuff on wheels that are in perfect condition and even then I would dilute it.
There’s no doubt it’s a good product, maybe a little too good!

Works great two thumbs up

Simple it works excellent, just spray it on and you will immediately see the gunk reacting to the product. Works excellent on tire and wheels. I live in the desert and its hot so follow the instructions and stay out of direct sunlight or it will dry quick. I made the mistake of spraying multiple tires and had product dry up on some of the tires. One tire at a time. I repurchased but purchased the larger container since I am happy with product and save per ounce. It works well so no more researching, I will just reorder when needed.

Eight years of brake dust. I sprayed a heavy coat on, let it sit did some light scrubbing and rinsed it all off.

I just purchased a new BMW and they are notorious for throwing off a ton of brake dust. I asked the shop where I had my PPF and ceramic done for recommendations on cleaning products and for a wheel cleaner and they said to try P&S Brake Buster. I did some research and liked the fact that this is not an acid based cleaner because I did not want to risk damaging the ceramic coating on my wheels.
The bottle arrived in perfect condition and I proceeded to clean one wheel first to make sure it worked ok without any issues. I sprayed a good amount of product on one of the front tires and wheels and let it sit for several minutes. I could instantly see a little foaming action and some dirt and grime start to run down. I then used a Tuf Shine tire brush on the tire and three different sizes of wheel woolies on the wheel spokes and barrel. I spent maybe five minutes working on the tire, and then pressure washed everything off. Everything looked good and much cleaner so I proceeded on the other three wheels. I then washed the whole car and and also used my foam gun to give the wheels and tires a second cleaning with regular car soap. When I was all done drying everything, the tires definitely looked cleaner and the wheels pretty much looked as good as when I picked up the car a month ago. Using this product every week or two should keep the wheels and tires looking great and prevent any long term build up.
I used between a half and a third of the bottle to clean four tires and rims and I applied a pretty liberal amount. When this bottle runs out, I will probably purchase a one gallon container of it as well as a dedicated hand pump foam sprayer to apply it. It should work even better when applied with a good foaming sprayer and it should be more economical diluting it a bit and purchasing the larger size bottle.

My wheels were looking FILTHY so after researching – I ordered P&S Brakebuster Tyre and Wheel Cleaner.
Pros – Much better than the Armor All I previously used. It changes colour as it cleans.
Cons – Pungent smell. Used a fifth of bottle so unsure how economical unless I can dilute this.
Overall would recommend.

P & S Brake Buster Wheel and Tire Cleaner works okay, but a large word of caution, for anyone who uses carwashes and expects to leave this in their car, it is not car friendly, even in moderately warm temperatures.
I left this in my car after the winter and the formula and spray bottle leaks where ever you store it. Luckily it was in my trunk, but it left a mess on two separate occasions. In both occasions, it was left upright, but overflowed everywhere.
A disappointment as I have only used this on a handful of occasions and most of the product has been used in various locations in my car and trunk.

I have black wheels on my motorcycle and didn’t realize just how much brake dust had accumulated over time. Probably about 2 years since they got a good cleaning, so they were very soiled. This product worked like a charm. I sprayed a good amount onto the surface of the wheels, let it soak for a couple of minutes, brushed the wheels and then sprayed with a regular hose handle on a jet setting and the wheels look almost as good as new. Highly recommend.

This has become a staple in my detailing line up. I’ve tried at least a dozen other brands and nothing so far has come close to the cleaning power for the price. Yes, there are better cleaners out there, but not at this price point. My only real complaint about it is how fast I seem to go through it…maybe 10 washes at most and it’s time to replace. Then again, I am a little heavy handed on the spray but I like to make sure I get everything – face of the wheel, inside the barrel, tire facing, etc. Used on alloy rims, coated rims, steel rims…doesn’t matter, just cleans it right up. I do wish the the tire cleaning was a tad better as sometimes it does take 2 coats to get that pearly white suds going so I can prep for a proper dressing but still, for the price I really don’t care since it’s so cheap and works so well.
