This gets the job done. Nice and heavy, seems like it will last

This is such a wonderful upgrade to my rock hounding game. 😍
DODGE –
I have two TV-5 and decided to get a TV-10, very happy with it.
Works very well, get an extra bowl for final polish only.
The House Elves –
Been running it several days/week on initial 36h grinds of 6.5lb loads of various sized rocks + 60/90 or 100/120 grit + ceramic media. No issues. Well, no issues other than being overrun with cleaned up basalt, quartz and jasper now 🙂 We’ll see how well it keeps up after I pick out the best pieces and move on to finer grits.
Replacement/additional bowls are super pricey. May as well buy an entire second unit instead of just the bowl. It’s worth it if you are doing a lot of rock polishing.

This was purchased for polishing rocks. I received my second Raytech about July 20. The first one, the motor burned out within six months. I began using the vibratory immediately.
I used the vibratory for three months without issues. Then, when I went to check it, the motor was again whirring/grinding. It seems the motors on these tend to run hot and are easily burned out. Until the motor failed, I was very happy with the results I received with the tumbler. However, with the longevity being an issue for me twice, I am unable to comfortably give this product more than a one star rating.

Great buy, comes with grit and polish set. Clear lid makes checking tumbling easy. It is very loud but works very well. Instructions say to oil the rod so it doesn’t rust, I recommend oiling it! Can easily swap the load bowl for a UV10 thumblers bowl and lid. This increases capacity and quiets it down a lot.

I used the tumbler three times and it just quit working.
It is a bit noisy.
But the first two times I used it, it did an awesome job
of polishing the rocks.

We have done 3 batches of rocks. It has worked well with ceramic media. It is a bit of a messier process than the tumbler, but doesn’t reduce the size of the rocks. Overall happy with it. Just keep a steel bristle brush to clean off the threads so you can get the nut off to clean it.
