This went right into my console to power my computer when traveling. Works great and a nice price. Seems a little lightweight but works fine.

I ordered this 400W power inverter to incorporate into my existing solar backup system at the house. While I have two large inverters for powering the big stuff when the lights go out, sometimes I just need a small draw device for chargers and accessories – this device is perfect for that job.
This pocket size inverter is similar to many of this design on the market – a pair of 110VAC outlets along with a couple USB ports. What make it stand out is how clean the AC output is. With no reference to it in the listing, the instructions, or on the device itself, for the price, I’m left to assume its output is 110 VAC ‘Modified Sine Wave’. To test its performance and upper limits I connected my vintage Sony stereo from the 80s that draws 320W AC. When running off my big inverter (also modified sine wave), that stereo emits a buzz from its power transformer which is also background audible in the audio output – a product of the stepped AC wave of MSW. This little inverter not only had no trouble running that stereo at a considerable volume for hours of my test, but it did so silently. There is no audible buzz coming from the stereo’s transformers nor in the audio output – it ran silently like it was connected to mains AC!! There’s a possibility that this inverter is a Pure Sine wave model, in which case that’s exactly what I’d expect, but since there’s no designation to be found, and considering its relatively low price, it’s likely a MSW. But if it is, it seems to be putting out a super clean AC wave which is much more cooperative with electronics. In short: this is good!
Its compact size makes it easy to store in a glovebox, trunk, or under the seat of a vehicle for quick access to 110VAC when needed on the road. And at 400W max output, it should easily power LCD/LED screens and laptops and such. The whole device feels solidly well built, and the DC input cables seem to be proper size for its rated output.
Overall I’m quite impressed with how this device has been performing. I’ll update if anything unexpected arises, but for now absolutely recommended with five stars!

Purchased this for long road trips, for the 3rd row seating in my Chevy Tahoe. My grandaughter was able to easily charge her laptop & there weren’t wires going from the back seat to the 3rd row.

Summary: This Pro Chaser 12VDC to 110VAC Power Inverter seems to be solidly built. It is small and compact but does not seem to overheat on continuous use. A cigarette lighter receptable plug is attached permanently along with an external fuse holder (uses standard automotive fuses). There are no provisions for a quick change alligator clips or extending the power cord. The ad states this power inverter is rated for 400Watts continuous and 800Watts peak but the unit really is able to produce about 200Watts continuous without blowing a fuse. This Pro Chaser is good for charging Notebooks, Laptops, power tool batteries, cell phones or other small electronic appliances. It will not operate small power tools rated at more than 1.5 Amps.

– Can only used the “cigarette lighter” socket for power source. No ability to use PV charging or alligator clips unless you cut the cord and attach connectors with the alligator clips.
I was excited to try this Pro Chaser 12VDC to 110VAC power inverter because of the ad stating that this unit was rated at 400Watts Continuous power and 800Watts Peak power. I was again disappointed to find that this power inverter did not provide the wattage specified. I have evaluated three other small power inverters and two larger (2KW Continuous/4KW Peak, and 3KW Continuous/6KW Peak) power inverters. So far, none of them have provided power at their rated capabilities. The smaller inverters are much farther off than the bigger ones.
If you are just trying to power some small electronics or charge some batteries during a trip, this Pro Chaser power inverter will probably work for you. If you want to run some small power tools or small compressor, or maybe a mini-fridge, this Pro Chaser 400Watt Power Inverter may be just to low a output. Because the unit is externally fused rather than having a resetting type circuit breaker, you need to keep a supply of spare fuses on hand in case you blow a fuse. This can be somewhat irritating if you are away from an auto supply store and need a fuse.
