I ordered this to replace a slowly failing window regulator in my Jeep. It is much quieter and it does stop when the window is up, which were my two issues. I ordered four window regulators for my other Jeep (same model) two years ago and I paid only 120USD for all of them with tax. I ordered two this time and this one alone was almost 60USD with tax. Why is the price of a small piece of metal and some plastic doubling in a couple of years?
Installation was tedious on the other Jeep, so I had my mechanic install this one and he said they had no issues though it takes about 2hrs billable time. This was the least expensive one on Amazon and it works… it was still half the current price of the parts stores. I am giving it four stars for fit and function. As always, your mileage and preferences may vary…

This window regulator is built much like the OEM one but with more rugged metal rivets holding the window attach point instead of plastic like the OEM one. The motor speed is fine, the noise is fine. It’s a pain to change; took me about 1 1/2 hours. The last one was also aftermarket by another company and it lasted 10 years. The original one lasted 6 and an OEM replacement lasted 8. We’ll see how long this one lasts, it may outlast my 2002 Jeep Liberty!

My husband worked as an auto mechanic for years, and this fit but part of it broke during assembly, same as the other replacement we bought. The window stays up, but I dare not roll it down again. So it keeps my backseat dry during the rainy season, but no more dog noses out of the window in the summers.

Works fine; finicky installation but that’s the nature of installing these things in a door panel blind. Recommend plugging it in and rolling the regulator down halfway to give you as much wiggle room as possible when popping the brass bead of the window mount into the plastic regulator truck. If you align it juuuust right there’s a tiny hole in the door panel you can peep through to see to slide the pin in. Be careful you don’t drop the pin down inside the door or you’re going fishing. Good luck, take breaks when you get frustrated, it’s doable.

Perfect replacement for my 2004 Jeep Liberty.
With the help of a YouTube video I swapped this out with little effort. It’s a tight fit in the door, just be patient and take your time. The bolt holes only line up one way so pay attention to that when putting in the new one.
As far as speed, I don’t notice a difference between this and the original I removed. Speed isn’t a concern for me, just wanted it to work again.
10/10 would recommend.

Update: I have purchased 4 of these for all 4 windows of my jeep at this point. Something to be noted on all of them is that the plastic rectangular piece that rides up and down has to be cut to allow the round metal portion of the window to go inside it. Once you cut that plastic, it will give just enough room to slide the retaining clip in place and hold the window onto it. I used a small pvc saw blade to do this myself. I noticed that the plastic was cut/cracked on all of the ones I took out of the jeep as well.

I have to qualify my 5-star rating on ease of installation. After you have done it once or twice, it’s “easy”.
I have a 2004 Jeep Liberty bought for the precise purpose of towing it behind my Class A motorhome. My wife uses it for running errands etc so it only has 63,000 miles on it. This regulator is the sixth one I have put in this car: three on the driver’s door, two in the passenger side front door, and this one for the driver’s side rear door. The three in the driver’s door and one in the passenger door were bought from the dealer at a price 3 times what this regulator cost and failed well before they should have. The second one in the passenger door was bought from Amazon and has worked flawlessly for over two years. I am expecting the same service from this one.
