Our coffee table is a combination of wood and epoxy resin. After a while, small scratches started to appear on the resin surface because the children like to play with toy cars on it. I used this resin polishing kit, which came with both a polishing compound and gloss paste. I applied a small amount of polishing compound to the surface and gently buffed it in with a soft cloth, working in circular motions. After that, I wiped off any excess compound with a clean cloth, then applied a thin layer of gloss paste to restore the shine. I used the same cloth to work the paste into the surface, continuing to buff until the table looked smooth and glossy again. Of course, a brush could also be used. The result was noticeable—the scratches faded, and the surface looked much smoother and shinier afterward. It was my first time using it, but the process was simple. Now I feel more at ease- if new scratches appear in the future, at least I know how to handle them.
