I started getting misfires on my 2006 XC90 V8 w/ AWD, so I swapped all the plugs as I was getting close to needing it anyways. Well, the misfires returned shortly and I got the same code for issues with cylinder 2. (Closest plug to the front passenger seat in case anyone needs the same fix as I did) Well, I didn’t feel like going broke and replacing all of them at the moment so I got this single instead. It worked like a charm! It fit the spark plug and seated ok, only had minor incremental differences than the Volvo plug in design, and fortunately everything was cut clean enough to directly swap and plug in. I’d buy another one if needed as long as it lasts a while. So far this one has been almost 1000 miles with no issues yet.

I was a little hesitant to purchase this but so happy I did. The replacement part from the parts store was $80 something. But I decided to look in Amazon and found this one for under $20. Ordered on a Saturday and got here on Tuesday. It’s now installed in the car and the car runs great. Thank you for saving me money because we will use this for now, but it seems to be working fine. Came nicely packed.

Had a misfire on my 06 Volovo Xc90 4.4. Purchased one and so far no misfires. Can’t beat the price!

Update Jan 25 2020 approx 1200mi later of city driving.
Misfire returned to same cylinder I put this coil into. Because it completely ran great for the first 1000 miles after installation I am assuming the coil is problematic I’m going to replace a premium coil with a lifetime warrantied name brand one I can swap out locally if there are any issues.
Reading other reviews I am worried about the longevity of this product enough that I am not going to stock up on more yet.
I have used other brand $15 coils in our turbo S60, do not recall brand, and they have run flawless for almost 30000 miles so don’t let a price sway you but the verdict is still out for this apremium product.

Excellent item, the Volvo we have eat these things, any brand, often. These are working(completely solved issue and extinguished engine codes) and at a price to keep many spares handy at a 10th the price a servicer will charge you.

It had a hickup at idle and heavy throttle was less than stellar.
Cleaned MAF twice it improved slightly.
Replaced plugs 1, 3, 5, 7 – – the front easy ones. One coil had a spring that flapped like it was loose.i put this coil in and reset the codes. Err came back but just for cyl 6 misfire. When engine cold I climbed over it and replaced cyl 6 plug and coil not hard just need cold engine, you can do it.
I pop this A-premium coil in cyl6 with a basic plug and all codes gone and runs like a dream. I am buying more to have as spares coil failurrs are common event in our Volvo history but is an easy, inexpensive, DIY fix.
