This replacement fits the Ford Y block long end starter with ease. High torque, very easy to install and less amp draw. I used this to replace the starter on my ‘59 Edsel with 292 engine. If the starter drive on original long end starter fails and drive or bendix end disengages,(engage position) it can make removing or installing a extremely difficult task. This replacement is a breeze.
