As everyone else has said, the Brembo’s on the Hellcats are dust generators. You could literally clean your wheels, drive around the block for 2 minutes and then need to clean them again. Ridiculous.

Sure, the Brembo’s will stop better on the track by far. They will also stop better when the brakes get super hot. You are very unlikely to get into either of these scenarios on the street. The downside is that they generate are TON of dust and are very noisy. They are also very expensive pads.

For street driving you’ll never notice the braking difference. These are the perfect pads for the street. Zero noise and ZERO dust. Very easy to install as it takes longer to remove the wheel than it does to actually change the pads out.

    You will love these.

Everything was great about these pads except I could not find one piece of information as to how many came in the box, so I ordered 2 boxes just in case. Turns out there is 4 in a box, so I now have 8. More for later though.

I am an advanced road course driver, I have considerable experience on the track with a modified Mustang Cobra, C6 Z06 and a 2016 Dodge Challenger Hellcat. The OEM pads on the Hellcat were the worst at producing brake dust. I was somewhat reluctant to switch pads because of the excellent bite and stopping power of the stock pads on the superb Brembo brakes. One of the best features of the Hellcat is the stopping distance, 60 to 0 in 104 feet.

I finally got fed up with the dust issue and decided to give them a try first on the front to see how they bite. I knew from the forum that the dust issue would go away with the Power Stop pads, I had to be sure the stopping power would not suffer. I can confidently say that after installing the Z23 pads the stopping power is as good as with the stock pads while the brake dust has been reduced by about 80 to 90%. I highly recommend these pads.

However, if you plan on running hard on the track or extra hard on the street then go for the Z26 pads. They may possibly (not necessarily) make a little more noise but they will run cooler than the Z23 pads. The pad compound is the same it’s the shims that change from the Z23 to the Z26. The Z23’s have a softer shim while the Z26’s stainless shims will dissipate heat faster.

Also, installing these pads is so easy my wife can do it and in fact she has asked for dibs on doing the rear pads when they arrive tomorrow. They are a breeze to install.

Just installed these this past weekend on my 2017 Dodge Charger Daytona 392. The slid right in, I reused the stock caliper pins, as the car only has 1800 miles on it. no instructions come with the brakes, but there are plenty of youtube videos if you want a walkthrough. I did make one mistake, which I feel like an idiot because of. I reassembled everything, and I put the metal plate that the pins slid into and that holds the brake pads into the caliper on backwards. The arched side of the plate/bracket was rubbing the edge of the rotor causing a grinding sound. A quick flip of the plate/bracket and all was well, they dust about 80-90% less than stock which is the main reason I wanted them. They are dead quiet, and for everyday driving they stop the same as stock. Highly recommend them.

I put these on my 09 CTS-V. Used with stop tech drilled and slotted rotors. Quality product, great braking, no squealing, no substantial brake dust.

After a few weeks driving my Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, I was tired of constantly cleaning my wheels only to have them get dirty within a day. These brake pads don’t stop as good as the Brembo pads, but they do not create the dust. They also do not wear the rotors as much as the Brembo pads. If you like clean wheels and don’t drive aggressively, these might be right for you like they are for me.

I installed the Z23-1405 pads on my new 2019 Dodge Challenger 392 Widebody two months after I bought the car. The (OEM) Brembo pads were making tons of awful brown dust and I could not keep my rims clean. I installed the Powerstop pads in under 2 hours. It was easy after watching a couple of YouTube videos on the subject. I went out to a rural road and did the break-in procedure. No squeals or squeaks at all after driving daily for 4 months. They stop just as good as the original pads. I can’t tell the difference. There’s no dust all and my rims stay looking great. This was a great upgrade. I’m no race track demon so I cannot speak about potential brake fade on a track doing laps, but in the city and on the highways, I’ve never noticed any problem at all. I think these pads are a great upgrade for Brembo brakes.

  10. The Big Cat

I should say minimal dust, but it is virtually non-existent. Car stops the same to me, but I don’t track my car. The difference is night and day with brake dust reduction though, which was my main reason to purchase. I was cleaning my wheels every other day due to the massive, disgusting amount of brake dust with the stock Brembo’s. Now I can go a week or more and it’s barely noticeable. Put another way, it generates no more brake dust than any of my other vehicles (2014 Outback, 2011 Sonata). I am completely satisfied with these pads. Installed in about 3 hours. Vehicle pads are installed on is a 2017 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack 6.4L with the Dynamics Package, which include 6-piston Brembo’s on the front.
