Descrição do Produto: Power Stop K2429 Front Z23 Carbon Fiber Brake Pads with Drilled

Reinstale as rodas e abaixe o veículo. Após a instalação, é recomendável realizar um processo de “quebra” das pastilhas, que consiste em realizar frenagens suaves para assentar as novas pastilhas adequadamente.

I went with this pad & rotor combo package because it was well-rated and not much more expensive that other standard-performance sets out there.

My order came with the caliper bracket pad guides, so there is no need to buy those separately (I simply returned the set of pad guides that I bought…. gotta love Amazon 🙂 This product did NOT come with pad springs, but I don’t think they were supposed to since I do not see the pre-drilled holes on the top of the pads.

Installation was a breeze on my 2006 Honda Ridgeline, and the bed-in process described in the included instructions was very quick and simple…. 5 or 6 aggressive stops from 45mph and another 2 or 3 from 25mph, with a good looking layer of resin laid down on the rotors. Easy peezy. Time will tell how long these things actually last on the road, but so far so good.

I read some reviews on this product in which the rotor quality was questioned, but I don’t see how these rotors are any different from others out there. Absolutely NO pulsation when I come to a stop, regardless of how aggressively I do so. I’m guessing some other reviewers chose to ignore the bed-in process and laid down an uneven layer of resin on their rotors, which is usually what causes brake pulsation. Never underestimate the importance of that bed-in process, especially for your front brakes. If you’re unfamiliar with the benefits, process, or risks associated with NOT doing it, Google it or watch a couple quick videos on YouTube. Just my two cents on that.

Lastly, I feel as though my braking performance was significantly improved by upgrading to this brake kit. Very satisfied with my purchase. Overall, a great set of disc brakes for the price… certainly beats the heck outta paying a shop $500 or more for a set of plain jane pads & rotors.

Great upgrade on rotors. The caliper clips o could never make fit. They just seemed off for my Honda Ridgeline. I had to reuse the last clips I had on instead.

  3. Robin Horton

I swapped this out myself and with excellent results.

My stock pads were down to about 10% and rotors were showing their age. I could have had the rotors turned and reused but I’m experiencing great results with the slotted rotors. Even under heavy braking I’m not seeing the brake fade that I saw before (only under very heavy load…keep in mind)

You’ll want to make sure you use a torque wrench for proper installation (I used the Mountain 16250 1/2-inch Drive Torque Wrench) and make sure to clean and replace the lubricant on the pins the calipers slide on. If this seems overwhelming, just check out some of the great youtube tutorials that have already been published. There are some bolts that have phillips heads, you’ll need an impact driver to remove them or you may need to drill them out (I had to drill out one of mine).

Great price and excellent quality, I installed these on the front around five months ago and have better brake performance than when the truck was new. I wish I knew about Power Stop Brake kits when I replace the rears a couple of months earlier. It would be worth a couple of dollars more to me if they included the hardware kits.

Installed these on A 2008 Honda Ridgeline. The job itself was quite easy. Had trouble breaking a couple of the bolts loose. My helper took care of that problem (A 15″ long piece of pipe to extend my breaker bar did the trick) I put the truck up on the jack stands the day I ordered the parts. Three days later I had the parts, Sat. This was great I had everything cleaned up and ready to reassemble with the new parts. Good deal, because next week I was scheduled to be in the hospital for some heart test. I opened the box to get started, with a big smile on my face, it soon disappeared everything in the box was for another vehicle. I called Amazon and they took care of everything, no charges of any kind. But it took over 7 days to get the right parts this time. Meanwhile, I went to the hospital for my test and had some surgery done. Pick up nothing over 5 lbs. for the next two weeks. The truck has already been on jack stands for a week and a half. Had to get my son in law and grandson to finish the job, they did a great job everything works as it should. At 82 yrs old I would have had to wait 2 or 3 months to finish the job. I don’t quite understand why it took so long to get the second box.

Easy install; however, despite following brake in procedure the steering would violently shake under heavy braking. Checked brake hoses, calipers (replaced one), checked the pads that came with the rotors. Symptoms continued. Fortunately I kept the old rotors so I swapped them back and the issue disappeared immediately. I have yet to take them to a machine shop to have them turned. Had them too long to return them. Should have stuck with OEM. Brake pad brand is excellent. I’ve used them on other vehicles, no problems.

Install on a 2007 Honda Ridgeline front was basically the same as any rotors/pads, but a few details (included in the instructions) to mention:
Rotors are directional and were labeled as to which side they go on.
After install there is a break in process that includes several hard breaking. Something in the realm of 50-60 mph hard break to 10 mph x5, and 35-45 mph to 10. Following the heat up period there is a five minute “slow” drive to allow the break resin to cool. This would not be “easy” to do if you live in a high traffic area, so would definitely take that into consideration before you begin the job.

I live on a fairly long stretch of road with light traffic and was able to get the break in done correctly.

The results are very noticible and impressive increase in breaking power and stopping distance. My wife even commented on the breaking power when she took it out.

Not sure on how they compare to other similar products, but based on my experience when the time comes to replace my rear breaks I will be upgrading to a set of these.

These parts are an upgrade over OEM. Saved a lot compared to prices at the local auto parts store who did not have them in stock
