    Having previously used Power Stop products, my expectations were high. I was not disappointed after I installed the Power Stop rotors and ceramic brake pad kit on the front of my RAV4. I have so far placed 1,500 miles on them and they are performing excellent. Great, smooth and quiet stopping power, and the finish on the “Evolution coated” rotors continue to look great without the slightest hint of oxidation. I find it easy to recommend this product.

    BTW: I obtained the break-in instructions from Power Stop’s website. Go the site and search for “Break-in Your New Evolution Coated Rotors”. This is directly from their site:

    “After installation, perform thirty decelerations from thirty miles per hour to five miles per hour. With the thirty seconds in between each deceleration for cooling. You should expect to smell some resin as the brakes get hot.

    If you’re forced to a stop during deceleration, either shift into neutral or give room in front so you can allow the vehicle to roll slightly while waiting for the light. The rotors will be very hot and holding down the brake pedal will allow the pad to create an imprint on the rotor. This is where a judder can originate from.

    Once this is completed the brakes have cooled to standard operating temperature, you may use the brakes normally. Never cool your brakes with water, as this can damage them. When this process is complete, enjoy your vehicle’s newest performance upgrade with Power Stop brakes.”

    Bought these disks and pads for my daughter’s 2001 Toyota Rav4. The disks were well packaged and fit perfectly. The pads were another story. The poorly machines pads would not fit. To avoid repackaging everything for return and reinstalling the old parts, I reluctantly made the pads fit by grinding the pad tabs so they would squeeze into the holders. I knew this was a bad idea but it was late at night and my thinking was as poorly machined as the pads.

    Four months later, after problems with brake noise, I replaced the altered pads with new pads that slid in perfectly.
