    Easy fix

I purchased for my 19 highlander as I tow a utility trailer sometimes with loads of around 2000lbs. I was looking for brakes that would stop that load in an aggressive braking scenario without warping the rotors. These brakes seem to fit the bill.

I installed these on my 2017 Highlander without any issue, the hardware fit just like OEM and everything went on without any issues. I did take notice of a slight metallic “flake/dust” on the rims after I did the brake in procedure which mind you had people looking at my funny because I was speeding up and braking over and over lol. The last few pictures are of the dust/flake and what the rotors looks like after about 10-15 minutes into the cool down period after the brake in drive 😉 I was able to get back home without using the brakes once during the cool down (down shifting). But I will update in say a couple weeks, I will update unlike half the reviews you read tho…..

Update 1; These brakes perform just as expected, my driving habits are “aggressive” so I speed a lot and brake hard from “higher ;)” speeds heh. But these brakes have held up great so far at a little over a month of being installed. They make a little noise and have a slight “grinding” like feeling while braking HARD. But no rotor warp or anything like that so in my opinion they work great, now mind you my Highlander is 6000lbs (GVWR) so they have to work a little harder given the weight.

But I’ve had this brand brakes on my 06 GTO and they were great on that as well, again a little noise when stopping from triple digit speeds but never a warp or fading issue….

Will update again in a few months…

They’ve been installed for about 3 weeks. Great kit which includes all replaceable parts. I performed the recommended break in as instructed, so we’ll see how long they last without warping. Great stopping power, about 30% better than the original Toyota pads. Slotted and cross-drilled is a great look on this Sienna!

UPDATE: 4/3/2018 – This kit has left me quite disappointed. They started out impressing me with the ability to stop more aggressively than its stock counterparts. They now shudder and vibrate extensively when applied at highway speeds. So much that downshifting the automatic transmission is necessary. I’m unsure if the whole kit needs to be replaced or not. Can these be cut on a lathe? I’ve had much luck with previous products from Power Stop, so I am confused of these results in less than a year.

NEWER UPDATE: 4/10/2018 – It appears that Amazon sent me the incorrect kit. My original order states kit # K4148. I researched this kit prior to buying it and I do not recall K4148, just K4713. I think something was messed up with the order. When I reviewed the order, it says K4148, but when you click the order, the link goes to the K4713 kit. All I know is Power Stop will not support my issue due to the wrong kit being ordered, so at this point, if Amazon doesn’t due something, I’m out the price of this kit. I cannot tell you how frustrating this is, so demoted to ONE STAR!

Fit perfectly, 2015 Highlander. I have never been impressed with the stock brakes, but these instill confidence, good feel, solid bite. Worth it and about $ 300 cheaper than OEM.Update. The brakes stop great, but do not last. I’ve now done them twice and have the same result. they feel good and stop better than OEM but don’t last nearly as long. I also now have gone to regular aftermarket rears. They are cheaper than the others but last longer.

Love this set of brakes. Got it for my 2012 Toyota Sienna. Replaced the OEM due to pulsing brakes and under 50k miles. Disappointed since the original brakes still had a long way to go. Was contemplating on replacing the pads myself but decided to do it when the shop quoted me over $500 to it. In the end, the money on this kit was well spent. Took about an hour to replace. Would have been faster had I left the lug nuts on when hitting the rotor loose with a sledgehammer. Whacked the threads by mistake and had to chisel them back into shape in order to put the lugs back. Saw a comment relating to a loose fit with the rotor when compared to the OEM and that there was a noticeable thump when the brakes were engaged. Mine did fit loose but did not have the same problem. Perhaps the spring clips were put on backwards? I made sure not to make that mistake by taking pictures of each side before disassembly. I also did each side separately so that I had the opposite side to compare to in case I lost track of any pieces that needed to be reassembled.

Instructions provided in the box to brake in the pads were easy to follow. Be sure to plan your route before driving out of the garage so you allow for traffic and enough distance between the different brake in phases and speeds required.

There was a lot of brake dust on the rims in a month after the brake replacement. Was not hard to remove like the OEM brake dust. I am also noticing the brakes working much better after the one month period.

These brakes work much better than I expected. They also look cool. Would have bought the kit to change all 4 rotors and pads to make the front and back brakes matching but the 4 wheel kit would not ship to Hawaii. Bummers…

understand they don’t make u stop much shorter, a few feet at best.
But they don’t overheat as much when towing or driving fast on curvy roads
they are good hard steel and last much better than many factory rotors. wear pretty evenly and the better pads last 2-3 times longer than cheap pads. rotors i often get 2-3 pad sets before grooving becomes issue and replace rotor. i do sand rotor before new pads to break the glaze.

  8. CW

Perfect fit on my 2016 Highlander. Better than the factory rotors without the holes.

  9. Edward Thiele

I’ve purchased 2 sets for my 2 cars. Despite Amazon’s size/figment guide these do fit on both 2016 Camry and a 2016 Avalon. In both cases these made a huge improvement in braking power.
But additionally they have survived the true acid test: my wife. She is hard on brakes as a rule. These have survived months of intense use with no flaws.
Regardless of fitment, these are well made and very durable. They cool much better than competing products, which allows long life. If I needed rotors and was having problems with warping, I’d look no further.
    Only 5 stars since I can’t give more. But, if I could … ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

  10. Hawaii Shopper

I like these brakes because they are great stoppers and no residue on your rims.
