Direct bolt on for my Volvo Penta 5.0 GXi. Painted Black and works great! Don’t forget to purchase the pully!

My first pump arrived floating around inside a large box. Its shipping journey did not end well with a trashed box and a battered, bent, and beat up pump arriving at my door. Seller was prompt in sending out another replacement pump which was properly packed. I replaced an OEM power steering pump on my boat – Volvo 5.0 GXI-G on a 2007 207LS Reinell. My boat dealer wanted $650 for a new OEM pump, so I was willing to try this one at this price. It seems to be an exact drop in replacement for my pump which lost the shaft seal, drained all fluid, then got toasty hot and melted my belt. Replacement was a moderately easy job, but you need a pulley installation/removal kit to get your pulley off, and reinstalled on the new pump. Only reason for 4-stars is the pump reservoir cap has a rubber flap or seal of sorts which falls off and into the inside of the pump when you remove the cap. It does not stay attached to the dipstick or in the neck of the reservoir no matter what you do, and it falls into the inner workings of the pump. I fished it out with an extra long needle node pliers and removed it. There is no documentation with the pump to show this, so hopefully that doesnt matter for functionality.

For pefectly in my 2007 Volvo penta 5.0 motor. Just installed so no telling yet how long it’ll last.
