The connectivity and use of this thing work exactly like carplay with a few extra features. My issue is with the base. The larger base that comes with a sticky pad literally does not stick and the screen falls every time i drive. The suction mount works great and does not fall but the screen does not attach to it well at all. I had to use a bunch of tape to secure the mount to the bracket that the screen locks into to. Its extremely cheap and whack that i have to do that.

Bought it for my wife’s car and she loves it very easy to use. Screen is the right size and sound quality is good and the gps works great she’s had it for over two weeks and she loves it connects quickly once it’s on. Were very impressed and the picture is where I put it in her car.

So I bought this for my first car, a little 2003 Camry. I wanted something that would play music from my phone via Bluetooth, and I wanted it to just turn on and start with my car seamlessly. I also didn’t want to rip out the radio I wanted something simple that I could just mount somewhere or set somewhere. I ended up finding screens that run Apple CarPlay and CarPlay is literally amazing and this little screen runs it amazing. I love it and I’d recommend it to anyone with an older car who’s looking for a simple non-permanent upgrade. Also since I’m a new driver the maps feature is a literal must. I LOVE that I can just set a destination on my phone and hit go and just follow the map on the screen just like on a newer fancier car. The screen is such a cheap and amazing way to make your car run softwares like CarPlay and the android one like any new car. It also plugs into my cigarette lighter which is perfect. Also you don’t have to use Apple Maps and Apple Music it works with other similar maps and music streaming services just fine you just might have to manually queue them on your phone when you start the car as opposed to Apple apps that just start when you turn it on. You can also plug in an aux cord and use that too if you prefer that.

This was easy to set up. The Bluetooth/Apple car play works great. The sound goes through the stereo system very good.
My only issue is that the phone mirroring option does not work without downloading an app on your phone. I have yet to find one that is free.
Watch how you install on your dashboard. Mine is rounded so the attachment and the device kept falling forward so n to the floor. I had to find just the right position to place it to keep it from ending up on the floor.

Bought for the Android Auto feature. I have a 2012 Kia Soul and a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra phone. Either I’m not reading the directions correctly (what there is) but I sort of got it working but not the way it’s telling me to connect. The directions seemed to prefer using Bluetooth. I started out with the AUX connection thinking it would be better. It wasn’t. I was getting a choppy helicopter sound through the system. I also tried direct connection to my phone. That didn’t seem to work. Couldn’t get my phone to connect to the unit’s Bluetooth. I was able to do the WiFI direct connection and after restarting the device was getting the apps and GPS to appear on the screen. But the only way the sound works was to connect to my car’s Bluetooth and not to the devices. If that’s the way it’s supposed to be then cool. When I last tried I had the power hooked up, The device was connected to my phone via Wifi direct. The phone’s Bluetooth was connected to my car’s system. Everything is wireless without other than power. Again trying to connect to the AUX and plugging my phone into the car’s USB wouldn’t allow connection to the devices Bluetooth. Disconnecting both I can connect my phone to the device’s Wifi Direct but not the devices’ Bluetooth. I’m probably confusing things. I’ll update this if I figure out more. The manual is pretty much useless.
24 hours later: Still trying to figure it out. Now my phone won’t connect to my car’s Bluetooth or the device’s Bluetooth. This isn’t looking good. I’m going to try one more time and if it remains a hassle to get this to do basic stuff then I’ll start a return.
Update: Increased to 5 stars. Finally figured it out and it’s just amazing. Great sound quality via Bluetooth, access to my music player and streaming apps, and I get my messages read to me. Perfect. Made my 12 year old car so much better. Once you get it setup right it starts up automatically.

For the money you’re spending if you can get it with a coupon I say do it no hesitation. It’s a really great set up for vehicles that don’t have modern amenities. It was really simple to set up. Came with a few options that worked for me and for the money, I’m pretty happy with it. I live in Texas, so I am always getting full sun and the screen is not the brightest. But, I only really need it for Maps and being able to choose certain playlists. I have my phone mounted in my CD drive so I can do finer tasks no issue. Any other time of day the screen is perfectly right nighttime use is just fine and the options for how to set it up and compare to your cars system is very nice to have. I think it’s worth your money to try it out at least

Just don’t get it lol. It worked so perfect for 3 months and then it just never turned back on one day and I tried different times and different ways for a long time to get it to turn on and it just never did. Not worth it if it’s gonna croak after 3 months.

I have a jeep, and it doesn’t have a screen so I thought this would be a great option. It does make using gps was easier! But if I’m being fully honest, I probably wouldn’t ever repurchase. Nor have I plugged mine in for over a month. This screen connects to my phone, and when i use it to play music from my phone via Bluetooth and then from the screen to the aux, it has a buzzing type sound that comes through the speakers. If I take out the middle man (the screen) it sounds perfect. Also talk to text is extremely difficult when the phones connected to the screen. Also CarPlay only allows a minimal amount of apps, and I wanted to be able to have my car diagnostic app on there. But that’s not the screens fault for that one.
