I have a truck and a trailer with a high tongue weight. I use an Equalizer hitch but have to put a lot of tension in the bars to level the truck and trailer. After using the air springs, I have realized that putting air in the springs will raise the truck and decrease the weight distribution effect. I believe the correct way to set this up is to level the truck as much as possible with the weight distribution hitch. Then use the air shocks to fine tune the level but even 5 PSI is going to take weight off the WD bars and move it onto the truck.
