Defective, coil came bad out of the box. Primary and secondary resistance could not be read off the negative terminal. Secondary resistance could only be read of positive terminal. Stuck using my 15yr old accel super coil for now, still going

The Pertronix packaging is a little lite/flaky for the weight of the coil.
Mine fell out thru the bottom of the box, onto the cement garage floor and chipped the tower a bit.
Installed it anyway with the Ignitor 3 ignition module.
1974 Olds Delta 88 Royale Convertible has never run so smooth or with as much zip!

Used with the Pertornix III and this puts out a very hot spark. Bright blue spark especially with the .007″ over std. expanded gap. You must make sure you are getting a true 12V to the coil. If your car has a resistor or a resistor wire installed, you must remove them. This is not difficult to do. The Pertronix III is awesome and works far better than I expected !!!! I will be converting ALL of my vintage cars to this system when my wallet stops bleeding !!

Pricy (4 stars) but works.
