I bought a cast iron knight fireplace set on Amazon. I read a review and the person said that the nuts and the bolts to hold the utensils together would come loose so he recommended using Permatex Threadlocker Red. I bought this on Amazon and it did the trick. The heat of the fireplace does not affect the glue at all.

It holds fasteners securely even under high heat. The 10 ml size is perfect for various projects, and it’s easy to apply. It has proven to be very effective in preventing loosening.

It worked perfect, except it didnt seem to have a whole lot in it, don’t know if it had dried up a little in shipping or storage, but it did work for the job that payed for it, just wish I would of had more to use on other jobs.

I needed a threadlock for a couple of small set screws going into aluminum on a mower cylinder head.
This went one easily and dried well. I did not try to remove the small set screw after it dried because it is something that will never need to be removed,, so I cannot say how tightly it locked the set screw in place.
A little bit goes a long way, so the small tube will last me pretty much forever.

I have worked on cars and trucks for most of my adult life ; you cannot do proper repairs
to engine parts or rebuilds/ repairs without using a product like threadlocker to make
