So I read the mixed reviews, and I figured the reason these drive shafts are failing, is lack of grease. I confirmed that when I pulled mine apart. Upon first inspection, I noticed that the smaller of the two joints had a slight back-and-forth wiggle and knowing that I wanted to put more grease into them, I purchased a tool to re-install the boot clamps And a new tube of a higher quality cv grease. I’m glad I did. There really isn’t much grease in these bearings and it was kind of dry so I purchased this driveshaft with the plan of packing the bearings with more grease anyway. So far so good I will update this if it fails . I’d say that between both sides, there was MAYBE 1/2 cup of grease “I think less”.
UPDATE February 2025
The bearing failed while I was driving. Started making horrible screeching noises then kinda stopped until it got hot. I remember the bearing tolerances felt a bit loose when new.

Broke about a week after it was put into the Jeep. Bad quality.

When I opened the package this looked just like the driveshaft in my JK, but after unpacking I realized the joints seemed really loose like the tolerances weren’t right. Upon careful inspection, it looks like this is a cheaply made replacement part that I wouldn’t trust in my Jeep. V8, full time 4 wheel drive, and it’s a Jeep that gets used like a Jeep is made to be used. I don’t want to get stranded, so I’ll probably just keep this for an emergency to get me by if my current shaft breaks and I have to order another one. At least it should last long enough for a quality shaft to get shipped to me.
