This fits my iPhone 12 great. It works well but feels a little cheap. I expect to be gentle with it. You will want to squeeze it closed tightly. I did not do that the first time and my phone eventually bounced out. No issues since I’ve double checked it for tightness.

The panavise finally solved my car/phone problems!
There are as many phone holders as stars in the sky and they all suck. Each one in its own special way. The panavise is easy to use, flexible on its phone size tolerance, and secure. It’s the easiest one handed solution I’ve ever tried. There are 4 people using our car and we all have different cases and phone sizes and this one works for everyone.
There is one tiny thing I’ll mention and that is if you don’t have a phone in the grip, it rattles. Easily solved, just park a phone in it.

Easy every time you get in the car without slippage, adapts to any device you buy in the future, super stable, no annoyances. It’s perfect. I have had one since 2013 that I never have to think about, since panavise appears to no longer produce bolt-in mounts (which was not that hard and totally perfect forever on my 2011 Honda Element), I’m trying to figure out a way to use this with a ProClip and AMPS adapter in a newer car. I’m not sure why other companies have not copied Panavise’s phone mount, and why Panavise is not making bolt-in “permanent” car mounts on newer cars.

To be clear, I normally use high end phone holder for my vehicles. Bulletpoint, Proclip, etc. Tough metal products. However, I got a new crv and found a really cool phone mount bracket that gets screwed in behind the dashboard. When I tried to use one of my high end phone holders on that mount bracket, they were too heavy, or stood to far out front of the bracket. Nothing was proving to be stable. So I started looking for something light, and as flush mounting as I could get. This panavise mount fits the bill perfectly. It mount flush up against the bracket. And it’s light. I have two complaints. The position of the release button is in the rear, which is difficult to reach and push. And secondly, the way the panavise phone mount attaches to the small mount bracket is not as secure as I would like. If you pull up slightly on your phone, the mount can pull off the bracket. Otherwise excellent. Holds the phone very well.

So I got one of these Panavise brackets a year ago, drilled a hole then bolted on a strong magnet and that has served me well – until I lost my phone recently. I can’t find a case for the new one that has the steel disc in the right place on the back, so I got this. My only complaint is I wish it held the phone a little more snugly front to back, but it serves its purpose and is easy to mount.

I have a ProClip mounting base, and I was using one of their “universal” holders, but it’s only universal within a small range of widths and thicknesses. It works fine when my Galaxy s10 is in its primary bumper case, but if in a thinner case or no case, the phone is too small to fit. And my next phone, sometime next year, might be too big to fit, so I was looking for something that truly is universal and does NOT rely on vent clips or suction cups because I hate those. I find those to be shaky, wobbly, and the suction cup ones need something to mount them on anyway due to textured dash boards.
This holder is truly universal, accommodating my phone naked, in either case, in full armor cases, and phones larger than my current, regardless of width or thickness.
So far, I’m finding this to be sturdy enough and the adjustable height of the arms make it easy to grip the sides without hitting any of the buttons. The grip release is convenient enough. The adjustable angle adapter could use a few more degrees of tilt which could have been accomplished by mounting it higher on the adapter plate, which may also enable it to rotate horizontally as another reviewer wishes it did. This last item is really all that prevents a five-star rating.
Overall, so far so good.
