This temp sensor comes with 6 pieces of heat shrink, you’ll need to solder it in place.
It’s located on the passenger side mirror. You’ll need to pop off the back cover, then you can see it in the bottom of the mirror.
Since the cabling runs all the way to the door, you’ll have to solder in place.
It’s a really easy job, part works perfectly. Previously my Renegade was always saying something extremely high like 111-119F, now it shows a more realistic temperature and my engine light is gone.
Overall I’d recommend this over replacing the entire mirror. It took me maybe 20 minutes.

Great Product, Saved $$$$ on my 2016 Jeep Renegade. Check engine light on, outside ambient temperature showing 205 degrees. My local auto parts store read the code but couldn’t get this part, Amazon had it! Was in the right had mirror as stated, I used crimp connectors with heat shrink. After install, outside temp showed 70 degrees. Disconnected negative battery cable for 30 seconds to clear check engine light. All good!
