Wow! Very good quality for such an inexpensive part. Super easy to install with just one night rather than trying to get a wiper on there without breaking the arm. Just super.

This wiper arm does not have a serrated bushing, the busing is perfectly smooth and the wiper arm I removed has serration as the wiper post has serration as well. I had to cut my old arm off because it was corroded on, but I cleaned it up, put a little anti-seize on the shaft and this went on fine. Granted since there are no teeth to mesh from the bushing to the wiper motor shaft you have to hold the wiper arm in position. Once I secured down the nut the arm worked perfectly and the spring tension is much more then the factory arm that had worn off and wasn’t clearing the window.
If your wiper is leaving parts of the window untouched its the spring tension that isn’t adjustable, so replacement is the only way I know to solve this problem which is just a worn out wiper arm. This arm has much better spring tension and the blade scrapes and clears the window perfectly.. For a fraction of a Toyota replacement this works for me just fine. It was only a few $$$ more then just the replacement blade from Toyota.

Bought this because my factory unit was worn at the hing, causing the arm to contact the rear window at the bend. This one BARELY clears the window, instead of the 5+mm clearance it should have there. This is a design issue, not a fitment issue or due to any other components. It’s just simply a bad design. Which means that I expect it to contact the rear window much sooner than the factory unit did.

So far mine was really easy to install, although only time will tell how it will hold up vs the factory original.
When I compared the two, the factory part had thicker sides, & what looked like a stronger spring.
After installation on my Scion it seemed to work very well.

I must give this product a 5-star review. For some odd reasons, it’s very hard to find a perfect after market replacement for Scion rear wiper. So glad I bought this product. It’s the exact form/fit. If you have a puller, it’s easy to remove the old wiper arm. If not, spray PB Blaster and slowly pry it out.
I read reviewers complaining about the new arm has smooth (no spline) inner bore. This is by design. The original Scion part is like that. It holds in place by the 10mm nut when you tighten it.

I went to my local auto parts store to get a replacement for the back windshield wiper which went bad years ago – but they said it wasn’t even in their catalog – so while I was waiting for him to double check, I ordered this and when I received it, it took less than five minutes to install and the only tool I needed was a 9mm wrench – it works really well too…

It went on a 2006 Scion xB. One 10mm socket to get the nut off and swapped it over easy as heck. Feels just as good as oem!
