cam sensor was no good. would only start about 1/4 of the time cranked. not worth the money

With no other changes, truck was so out of time, it would not crank several times, just click – starter could not turn engine over. When I got it to run, it was terrible. Swapped new one out and reinstalled old one, ran the way it was, misfire. This part did not help my situation, only made it worse.

Failed state emissions inspection after the sensor install. If the fail was due too a re-learning by the CPU , I will update.
As of now the Tahoe is hard starting and never has had that issue since new. The funny thing is, I only changed the sensor because it is almost impossible to change without removing the intake manifold and I had the manifold off to replace knock sensors.
Sad to say but most parts I have bought in the last 4 years for my Tahoe from Amazon were defective or not as described. However the brake parts were GREAT,,,”Powerstop Brakes ” are the best ever!
UPDATE: Further testing of the Camshaft sensor shows it was “Dead on arrival”. I installed an AC-Delco Camshaft sensor, like the original I replaced all is good. This OTUAYAUTO Camshaft Position Sensor was JUNK.

Looks and installed just like old one..dislike is this one is defect ip pops and sputters.put old one back truck running fine..truck has 297000 miles just wanted to replace a lot of old switches and be ready for another 300,00] miles

Changed sensor while intake was off for other work. Engine ran rough and threw cam sensor code problem cleared when old sensor was reinstalled
