It met my expectations for ruggedness. I use it to charge two phones at once. It works well for that and means I don’t need two separate charging bricks. It grips well in the outlet when going over bumps. The charging light is bright enough to know that it is on, but not too bright that it is distracting while behind the wheel. I’m looking forward to this charger lasting a long time.

TLDR: Nice two port charging, pretty fast, and durable design! I love that I can charge both my phone and old iPod at the same time for road trips!
I have an old iPod that I still love sooo much! I usually take it on these long road trips but it often dies within an hour or so. I often use gps on my iPhone so my charge port is taken up to keep my directions going. With this dual charger I can finally charge my iPod and keep the iPhone charged for directions without having to take one of the charger and trade it for the other. It’s seriously a game changer for those long road trips!
I’m so happy with this charger so far, it’s pretty fast, seems like a durable design, and looks like it will definitely hold up over time. I love most Otterbox products I’ve gotten before, and these new charging products seem to be just as good as their other stuff!

As my headline says, if brand reputation and quality are more important to you than value, this might be a good match for your needs. At $25 (a quarter of a hundred bucks!) this is on the pricey side for what it is. Generic versions can usually be bought for $5 shipped. Generally speaking, unlike corded chargers, these are pretty simple and even the cheap ‘Sharper Image’ brands under $10 have lasted me a long time.
Otterbox is a well known brand … I only use Otter Box cases on my phones because they are built well. My phone cases generally get 5 years of wear before needing to be replaced. Most of their products have a limited lifetime warranty. If you are a person who believes in buying quality items because they last, you are likely not as concerned about the value of these.
This is made of plastic. Its lightweight … it has an ‘in use’ light. It has two ports for charging two devices at once and will fit most car 9V ‘cigarette or circular’ plug in ports in cars. Likely 0% of cars being made have an actual lighter in the 9V section … and the number of cars that do have this type of plug in a car is dwindling. I frequently rent cars for business trips and about 60% of newer cars have a port like this … the other 40% have USB charging/connection only. So you do run the risk of this charging adapter being outdated soon.
Having said that, often a USB only charger cannot keep up with today’s faster phones, especially when using Waze and keeping the screen on for long periods for navigation. This does a much better job of charging and maintaining the battery life of today’s phones which require more juice.
Overall, if cost is no concern over quality, go ahead and buy this. If you just want a cheap everyday adapter plug that you aren’t worried about losing, you might think twice about investing in this.

The head broke off away from the cord and I only use in my truck. Had to get needle nose pliers to get the end of it out of my phone. I would not get this product as I’m a fan of otterbox but this is crap.

Life has changed and we need chargers everywhere, and that should include your car. Not only that, you can’t just have a cord for yourself but for your passengers too. That’s where this dual port charger comes in handy.
You can plug two different USB-A cords into this charger and get 12W or 2.4A per outlet. It’s more than adequate for charging on the go. You can always have faster chargers at home.
For these two outlets, I keep cables that give me the big three connectors: Lightning, USB-C, and micro-USB. Everyone is different, but these main three will always keep me ready for anyone and any device.
This is a well-designed product that works as promised. Recommended.
