I’m an engineer and use this toque seal to proof mark bolts and nuts heads. This product also allows you the properly inspect the seal to ensure that the fixing has not moved. Fantastic would highly recommend 👌.

If you’re looking at this, you already know what it’s used for, so I won’t bore you by describing its use.

I’ve never used this brand of torque seal before. Compared to others I’ve used before, this product is thick (so it doesn’t drip) and resilient. It includes a small applicator tube that you can screw onto the end in order to apply it to small areas, but there’s no way to clear this out or cap it – the regular cap screws onto the tube. So that applicator would be more or less a single-use item – not sure why it was included?

The cured sealant is resilient and hard, and easily visible, and does its job properly.

    Who is this for?
    – Mechanics
    – Anyone who needs to put vibration/tell-tale indicators on movable fasteners

    Pros:
    – Bright yellow
    – Does not drip or sag

    Cons:
    – Needle tip supplied is single-use

I’m using it mainly for a small fly/wind shield for my Harley and marking the Fitments to make sure over time the vibration doesn’t loosen the screws. I’ll be able to tell if my line isn’t straight anymore over time if it loosens which this product is for. I’m also using it as a mild loctite on my bolt Fitments for my windshield brackets to help keep the bolts feom backing out so it’s a double use product which is always nice. I figured I’d try it out over the usual loctite because I beleive in giving smaller companies a shot and when 1 company runs the gambit on a product or service, smaller companiesthat make great productstend to get left in the dust. Although loctite is a great product and has earned their high regard, I felt like trying something new. Also im not throwing shade at Loctite at all just wanted to try something new and it was available to me. This product so far works well but ive only ridden about 45 miles with my new windshield and this product on the fitments, so obviously not a long term view yet but so far its holding strong and holding the line, literally! Exposed to alot of vibrations, high winds, bumps and outside elements so even 45 miles on a Harley can be a decent short term stress test and it passes so far. If I have long term issues, I will update my review, if not than my thoughts on it still stand and you should have faith the product performs it’s functions well. 4 stars for now but if it stands the test of time, I will update it to 5.

These markers work on virtually any surface, things that have had oil or other solvents, no problem. I find that they hold up better than a paint pen and are great for marking bolts after final torque and making sure they hold up. Another top notch German made automotive product.

    Top Produkt

Torque seal is easy to apply. The bright yellow color is easy to see. The torque seal hardens up like an epoxy, so i expect that is should last a long time after application. The torque seal came with a small tube applicator if needed for applying smaller amounts or with greater precision.

Every mechanic who has ever paid attention is familiar with bolt marking schemes. Virtually every bolt, plug, nut or other fastener on any top quality device or automobile, and that carries security or torque specific requirements, also carries a factory seal marking of some kind.

Maybe you’ve seen them? Little stampings, or clear “paint marks” or similar? Or, on German cars, it is the familiar yellow glob of something. But what is that “SOMETHING”?

Well, now you know! It is THIS STUFF. BÄDER Torque Sealant. When you finish your service or re-work of that drain plug, cover bolt, or other fastener, and when you have set the fastener to the correct torque, simply smear a daub of this onto the fastener. It is now marked. That mark will reveal any future tampering that might happen, because anyone who turns that fastener for any reason will destroy the torque sealant mark you’ve daubed on.

This stuff is the best. It is the exact stuff that BMW (and others) use to daub their mission critical fasteners.

Take your repair work to the next level. Mark your properly torqued bolts. If the argument erupts, you’ll have proof positive that your work is tampered or untampered, plus it just looks professional and correct to reseal any seal-marked fastener, cap, drain plug, bolt or nut.

I choose BÄDER Torque Sealant – it is the bomb!

Five stars – authentic and the real thing

cons: None, BUT be sure you get the correct original solvent-based stuff! That is, unless you want to use the green friendly not-as-good version, which Amazon also sells. 🙂 The green friendly stuff does not use solvent, and it does not do as good a job as a bolt marker, either. It is “o.k. to good”…but the original is in my opinion better.

I’ve used Bader products in the past along with other brands of bolt marking products. Generally they are an lacquer based product with typical solvents that evaporate out as it dries. This one is new (and it seems that many are missing this point) – Bader ZERO products are VOC free water based. They are even certified to be food safe products!

I’m a believer that the less chemicals we can spend time around, the better. I also know that often it can be really difficult to create an equally effective product when trying to remove toxic chemicals. Bader seems to have done it here though! It seems equally effective to the other products I’ve used in the past, with no chemical odor at all. The only difference may be a bit longer dry time (I did not time it, just ‘seemed’ to take longer – this could have just been the conditions I was working in though).

If you are looking for a product to indicate if fasteners have been moved or have loosened on their own, Bader is a trustworthy brand and the new Zero line is simply a cleaner product. Definitely recommended!

Allowed neat & clean application on very small fasteners.
