Brien –
I knew my mechanic would choose Napa parts. I checked online and they were hundreds of dollars more for the pair. Then the garage would probably mark them up more. I asked the independent garage where I’ve done business for decades if I could bring my own and just pay for installation. As you can guess, I got an earful but they did it. The struts seem fine. I don’t feel a significant improvement but the old ones were leaking and this had to be done.
The only mistake was my own. I should have provided new sway bars, too.

Nice replacement for OEM shocks.
Amazon Customer –
Easy to install. fixes issues with front struts that need to be replaced.

I recently purchased these Oredy struts to replace the completely shot front struts on my 2005 Pontiac Vibe. These struts appear to be sturdier than the OEM struts and installation was straightforward after studying a few YT videos. Actually, removing the old struts was more difficult than installing the new ones. I’m pleased with the quality and the much improved ride . I plan on using Oredy struts on the rear in the near future.

Drop in replacement fits perfectly. The ride quality is comparable to stock.
Notes:
– The studs on top are shorter than the stock studs. That means you can’t re-use your stock bolts- they are too tall. You must us the nylon locking nuts provided in the box.
– The brake hose nut was welded just a tiny bit off center. The bolt had to be forced in without the hardware first, and then re-installed with the hardware once the threads had been cleared out.
– The bracket for the hub is wider than the hub. This means the 22mm bolts on the bottom must be tightened extra hard to squeeze the brackets tight. If you don’t do that, then the suspension will clunk as the hub rattles around. An impact driver is virtually essential to do this installation.

I installed these fronts and Oredy rear struts on my 2004 Pontiac Vibe. The fit perfect in place of the OEM after 199K miles. These brought the front end back up slightly and gave it a smoother ride. Easy install for the DIY with required tools.
