This tensioner basically fit and works. The bolt they ship is to short and needs to be replaced to get enough thread engaged for the high torque it requires. Time will tell, I will edit if something happens.

Installed on 2010 Pilot AWD , 3.5v6. Pretty straight forward. Watched a couple of u tube videos beforehand. Perfect fit. Old one sheared off mounting bolt which seems to be a common issue. Several good videos detailed how to “preload” the hydraulic shock. This is very important to follow! When you go thru the steps, you’ll understand. This is why mounting bolt shears off. If you don’t do this, the shock is almost “rigid” and will not move !

As a advertised product at an affordable price, so far so good. I would recommend changing the belt even if it’s only a couple months old because a brand new tensioner is going to be stretching that belt out just a little bit more than it was before because the old one just was not providing enough tension. This product has a 1-year warranty I’m hoping I don’t have to worry about this belt tensioner for at least a few years. If anything changes I’ll try to update but as I said easy install perfect fit makes no noise. I drive a 2005 2.4L Honda Accord LX.

I replaced the original tensioner on my van at 137,000 miles with this unit. It has failed at 250 miles and needs replacement – it is rattling loudly after just 2 months on the vehicle – we do not drive very often. For this particular part, just buy the Honda factory equipment – it’s much better.
